Wow.

I would love Python 3.x... But, this is a great Python IDE. And it's on your phone. In your pocket. ???

Great App

RomSpy

This app is perfect for anyone wanting to learn Python. The documentation is excellent. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to program on the go.

This is amazing piece of work.

Useful and extremely well-designed

Daniel Grady

This is a great application, with a set of extremely useful and well thought out set of features. Using this on the Plus-sized iPhones really feels like living in the future, with a full-featured computer that fits in your pocket. The sharing extension is great fun and lets you inspect the contents of a sharing payload in real time right on your device. There are (of course) some features that I hope the developer brings to future versions, namely built-in solutions for installing packages and synchronizing files with Dropbox or similar, and moving to Python 3. Nonetheless, this is solidly a five-star program. The attention to detail and level of integration with iOS are wonderful.

This is fantastic! But...

This app is exactly what I've been looking for. The only problem is that it runs 2.7. I use Python 3 quite frequently, so it is a bit of a nuisance to have to switch syntax and whatnot, but it is very minor. Thanks for making a great App!

Must rate 5 stars

This program is so awesome... (for me - noob, sololearning guy) At start I was sad that there isn't a built-in webbrowser... but when I did get little bit deeper in coding, I realised that I can open webbrowser in this app by writing 2 lines... cool :D Edit: Love this app <3 Just one problem happened to me, that importing photos stopped working for me :( and I dont know how to do it now :/ So my personal rating changed from 99⭐️ apple store stars to 98.5⭐️ :D Oh... Or maybe they have added possibility to import sounds xD but I don't know how.... :D so I should rate higher xD Still much over 5⭐️ xD

perfect app after a few more features

pzeos

perfect app after a few more features: 1. git2go support 2. bash (I know this is for python but it’s just a really great IDE) 3. iOS9 ability to import, export files 4. ssh / scp support 5. multitasking support for iPad pro Thanks, great app!

Amazing.

Pythonista is an outstanding Python IDE. I almost prefer this to coding on a desktop computer. There are a lot of built-in modules for making iOS UIs and using the iOS-specific sensors, along with an excellent module for creating games and animations. The interface is clean and friendly, and you can make custom actions to act on the files you have created.

Unbelievably Great Job

JoeGuru

If you want something to learn or actually USE Python, this is the app! Quit searching. Just use it! The biggest obstacle to this software is Apple's policy. No problem, just search for "pythonista dropbox sync" and solve it! I wish we could give this one 10 stars!!!

Great software with crippling bug

Dr. Missile

Currently the press and hold features don't work for the second row ( : to ; undo to redo > to < ' to " ) This is unfortunate and renders the software mostly unusable. They do work for the numeric row ( = to != + to % and / to \ ) [EDIT] Reading the forums this is a well documented issue, but fortunately there is a workaround. Instead of pressing and holding, swiping up will activated the secondary button function. One other snag is that the hit areas for the top row of buttons is rather off, resulting in many, many missed inputs. This is very frustrating since numbers and basic mathematical ( 1234567890+*/-= )symbols are so often used. iPad mini retina ME279LL/A OS 9.2.1
