No Option support for moving words

TimStephens

I still don't know why Option (Alt) support for moving words isn't in the app. When going through a long line you can't use Option to move the prompt input faster through the line. It's baffling it's not supported when it's supported in almost every other app, and not just ssh clients but even when typing in reviews.

Life Saver for Server Administrators

Ben Huebscher

I don’t use this app every day. But when I do, it’s mission critical. There is no software on any platform that’s saved me more stress, time, and money compared to what it cost me.

Does the job, does it well.

Perhaps the most crucial app on my iPad Mini. Deals with the space- and UI constraints in a sensible way. I actually love the way that I need to re-authN to the app each time I switch to it (and that biometric is an option for authN), and the fact that the devs took pains to prevent data leakage via app-switcher thumbnails. Just enough assignable keys to drag heavily-used symbols (pipe, underscore) up and out of where Apple buried them on the default keyboards. Finally, very pleased with Prompt 2’s (so far, fully-transparent) IPv6 support. I’d recommend it to anyone who needs SSH on the go. Kudos!

Awesome and gets better

TexanJones

This app has been my peace of mind and workhorse for years. It's awesome and keeps getting new features to enhance the admittedly challenging task of squeezing our terminals into a small display. Easily 5 stars and recommended. Thank so much.

Frustrating command line experience

Tlj73

Screen output randomly wraps, attempting to edit previous commands that wrap lines results in garbled command line output. Sure, if I want to do something trivial it works okay, but for anything more complex its a frustrating experience.

Unable to hold a connection open if you do any thing else on your phone.

ScottByrns

Multitasking is just not an option with this app. Makes it so frustrating to use that I’ve given up on the idea of ssh on my phone and have resorted to VNC and a terminal. Wasted my money on this app no two ways about it. 10 minute limit isn’t what I’m talking about. It’s the less than 4 seconds of switching to another app then coming back to a closed session. Just useless.

I liked it until I was asked to rate it

Seriously - I paid for the app. Lay off the nags!

How can I connect with ipv6?

tsuha0

I don’t know whether the app supports ipv6 or not.

Not worth the $10

Why did Panic create their own sync system instead of taking advantage of iCloud? I am supposed to trust their servers with ssh keys? Sorry, can't do that, you're a small company with unknown security on your sync service. Anyone storing keys there is putting them, and their servers at risk. The UI is a mess, buried menus and a 'leet black and purple theme that is not easy on the eyes. No support for Mosh, no custom fonts, there are far better terminals out there these days. The description is right, it was written for iOS 8, and those days are long gone.

Great App

It would be fantastic if there is a way to use arrow keys by gestures.
