What have you done to this app?!?!?!?
Broken after Updatee

From my favorite app to the worst performing app I have. So after almost 2 weeks we get an “update”. I guess I should be happy it opens but now it adds multiple tasks when you try to create one and the date is wrong. It is so sluggish it’s not even usable. Can you go back to the version from a year ago so this app can function? I suppose I should be grateful I get past the startup page.

UI is nice

The UI is great but unfortunately my app doesn’t sync across my iPad and iPhone. I would give it one star if it wasn’t for the nice UI but I feel like if you pay for an app it should sync.

Don’t even bother trying

10/19 update: Incredibly frustrating. Every time there is an update the app breaks. I’ve used for almost two years and had a streak of nearly a year and a half and it took TWELVE DAYS for the last broken update to be fixed? Who can possibly remember the last TWELVE DAYS OF HABITS?! I’ve unsubscribed from premium - APALON will never get another penny of my money and I’m pretty much just going to delete the app now. What an absolute waste. The dev team is unresponsive to concerns, just offers copy-paste responses that they “are aware” of the issue, but one would think a responsible service/app provider would make sure the update actually WORKS before rolling it out and taking nearly two weeks to fix it. Don’t waste your money on this app, I wouldn’t even recommend the free version as you’ll be bombarded with premium subscription requests at an insane level. Find another tracker app, it’s worth your time to do so.

Great App, unreliable updates

I’ve used the productive app for almost 2 years now. It has been great for keeping motivated and tracking habits. For a paid app, it has been disappointing that updates have caused the app to crash and not open. This has happened 3+ times in the past two years and leave the app unusable for days/weeks. Updated 10/20: app version released and still hangs up at opening screen making it unusable. Pretty frustrating for an app meant to track things daily and has a “streak” and data function. These upgrades away from the basic premise are useless when all the data is lost when you are unable to use the app for weeks. I’ll find a new solution to track re-occuring to dos or habits now.

Unable to access.

With this latest update, I cannot access the app. My password isn’t working and if I shut it down and relaunch it, it goes into updating mode and remains there. When it’s functional, it’s an excellent app worthy of 5 stars. I’ve had it for years and it’s worth it.

Update froze my app

You did an update that has caused my app to not function. It just stays on the “updating this make take a moment”. Please fix this ASAP. I use this app regularly

Free users should stay away

This app shoves the same ‘pay to unlock extra features down your throat’ everywhere you go. It’s annoying and makes the app frustrating to use. Update: Developer responded saying premium features are optional. Indeed they are, but my issue is with the -CONSTANT- nags to get you to go premium.

Paid for premium back when it was a flat fee, and it was worth it. Really helped me cope with ADHD. But I don’t think it’s worth the subscription price. Found another app that’s cheaper and has all the same features, so after years of using Productive I’m officially giving up on it. Every time they update the app, something is broken. An update as of 10/09 made the app completely unable to open. A week and a half later 10/19 they released an update that says it’s a bug fix (huge understatement) and all it does is go to a load screen that says it’s updating but never finishes. A) how do you not notice this before you release the update? B) Why would you not instantly roll back the update so people can at least use the app while you try to fix your (probably useless anyway) update? Other updates have deleted habits, screwed up streaks, duplicated habits. When you swipe an app done sometimes it will swipe the habit two or three below it for like, no reason. The monthly habits system is basically useless. It gives you a 2-4 day window in either the beginning, middle, or end of the month to complete it before it disappears from the list and counts it as missed, and you can’t pick what those days are. If you chose the whole month, instead of beginning middle or end, it still does a 2 day window at the beginning of the month (It’s the 1st of the month right now, and my monthly habits all popped up as due by the 3rd). Looking at my calendar and deciding it makes more sense to do most of those chores next week for a variety of reasons, so now I’m swiping those as done even though they’re not done yet, which defeats the purpose. If it were at least a 1 week window, or we could pick the timing, that would really help to provide flexibility. I’ve reported this to the developers multiple times over the last few years and I always get a canned response that they’ll think about adding this feature... as opposed to fixing this broken feature... or even explaining why it works this way.

Love the app but update is not working

I’ve used the Productive app for ages and I love it. Since the most recent update however, it won’t open-just says it’s updating. I hope this gets corrected soon!

Update
John Paul B

It said bug fixes and the first thing it did was glitch out when I opened it and it asked for my password, this was not an issue before. Just making you aware, the subscription is a little high in my opinion, other than that love the app
