I think I have tried every pinboard app out there, and after beta testing this one I think I can say that Pins is the one that gets all of bookmarking, editing and browsing right. Sync works as well as the pinboard api supports (and Pins’s help is very thorough in explaining the limitations), and I haven’t had mystery crashes yet. I think this one is a winner. I’m deleting the others.
Easily the best Pinboard client on iOS / iPadOS these days. Just the Smart Collections and advanced search syntax is worth the price of admission, as it were.
This is without a doubt the best Pinboard app at the moment, and it's awesome finally having a share extension for Pinboard on the Mac! I had a couple minor issues at first, and the developer was extremely responsive and got me fixed up.
If you’re using Pinboard (which you should be) this is _the_ iOS app to be using. It’s the one I would’ve built for myself, and it leaves nothing to be desired. Give this developer your attention, and money!
I had long ago given up hope that I would see a maintain, well designed, modern Pinboard client for iOS and Mac. And then I found Pins. All the amazing features you want, wonderful UI/UX, an app that works across both architectures, and more! I gladly paid the one time fee to support the developer and get access to everything. This is going to be a mainstay of my arsenal for a long time to come. Thank you so much!
Pins is exactly what you want in a Pinboard client: minimal, simple, no visual cruft—just easy access to your bookmarks. Best of all, the developer is responsive and helpful. If you’re a Pinboard user, I definitely recommend it!
I happily paid for this to have a supported and maintained Pinboard app, and it’s worth it for that alone. In most ways it works as it should and doesn’t have any of the weird brokenness of the other years-old Pinboard apps available (like Pinner and Pushpin). I had to restart my phone to get the share extension to work, which initially had me thinking it was missing that functionality. But it is there, and works great!
Looking forward to seeing this thing grow!
It really is the best app for pinboard. Very much worth the purchase for the paid/unlocked version.
