Horrible Hue app
mboylan73

This app is horrible. It’s not intuitive, it has way too many clicks to do a simple task and it knocks your lights out of sync way to often without letting you know what needs to be done to get your lights back online like you set them up to be. If I knew it was going to be this horrible, I would have gone with another brand of lights.

HomeKit integration infuriating
Milanracer190

I don’t want Hue to decide what the names of the rooms in my house are. I should instead be able to assign Hue bulbs to rooms as defined in the Home app

Works great until it doesn’t
Trance Kelley

I have had Hue for a number of years now, but recently I have had malfunctioning lights that randomly turn on in the middle of the night. With no activity log there is really no way to troubleshoot the problem, besides a full reset, which in my set up took the entire day and in the end didn’t solve the problem. Now some of the lights that used to connect no longer do. Please add an activity log so we can see what other apps may be conflicting with the set up and can deal with the issue. Would have given 5 stars otherwise.

Inconsistencies, bad UI, horrible sync with HomeKit
Granb0y

I don’t even really know where to begin with how cluttered and awful the UI is. I can’t even think of a coherent sentence to describe my distaste for this app. Burn it down and start again.

routines. not so routine
,jhgkjg

consistently have a routine for turning off two rooms that doesnt turn the lights off. cant seem to find the reason why also, why so many routine categories and complications. i just want a single routine to turn lights on at sunset and off at 10pm. why does that require two routines. i want to manage with one

Your money should not be wasted
Paynetrain2013

Spending $200 dollars on this was a terrible Decision. they work for a weak before having to update, the app and lights would not update. After a few months I tried to fix the lights again, the app freezes when I opened it and stated lights can’t be found. When I try’s to reset all the lights I would not register one light. These light are a waste of money.

Cabbage
mighty one... or two

Kills my WiFi internet connection with my HomePod (reseting does not help). Removed the hue hub from the home app and the HomePod worked again. All bulbs have a flickering problem. Scrapping all my Phillips hue and Phillips wiz bulbs.

Doesn’t work with hue sync app
noway1993

Used this to setup rooms but I can’t find them on hue sync app which means cants use my lights for movies. Why should pay this much and waste all these time for setup. And hue is supposed to be industry leader?

Good app problems with updates
CaptMCook

The most recent update for some reason when I click on the app it will turn all my lights on when I only needed to turn off one light. If there can be an update where this is fixed that would be amazing.

Unable To Connect

The lights work fine when we’re home but if we’re away from the house forget it. Everything else works great, the nest, the LIFX smart bulbs, the cameras etc. So it’s not our brand new WiFi it’s the hue bulbs. Once LIFX comes out with recessed lights I’ll be taking my leave.
