Panzer Campaigns is a detailed turn-based simulation of operational warfare from World War II. It includes detailed rules and combat resolution but has a simple interface that allows the player to focus on strategy and tactics. A wide variety of unit types are represented including infantry, tanks, artillery, and engineers. This version has 18 scenarios particularly suitable for mobile devices including 12 "Panzer School" scenarios designed to introduce you to the basics of World War II warfare.
I LOVE Tiller games. PC and Modern Air Power on iOS. But this one won't boot. It just crashes when trying to start. I am on iOS 5.1.1. I wish for more Tiller games on iOS, please fix. My 1 will become a 5. I tried to resolve with app support. The answer was "why am I using an older (5.1.1) iOS. Huh? The app description says iOS 3.2+. I'm sure the game is GREAT. Same as MAP, but the support response is pretty lame. Disappointed.
Finally a good strategy/tactical war game for the iPad! A little hard to get the hang of (training missions not descriptive enough), but once you do it's really fun. When will the full version come out!!!!!
A Real hex and counter, old school Wargame for tablets!!
Well having played PzC for years and years I am a huge fan of the series. I have been wondering for a long time why they havent showed up on the eye pad as I am sure the eye pad can handle it. So I kept checking and here it is. I am so excited about this I can hardly say, but I am haviing some problems getting units to move. Sometimes they move as designed and sometimes they just wont move at all. Hopefully a patch will fix it. Also seems a bit laggy on my ipad. But looks to be a pretty faithful representation of the original PzC's. Thanks for doin this John and Blackie and whoever else was involved. Nice to be able to play this once more. Hopefully PBEM is in the works.
The "touch" aspect of a tablet adapts well, and if you've played any of the PzC series, the icons on the game interface will look familiar!
Been waiting for a good wargame for the iPad. The controls takes a little getting use to but this is a good transfer of the Panzer Campaign game series to the iPad. Can't wait for more Panzer Campaigns.
1. The scenarios leave little for time for maneuvering. 2. The Russians seem to be very stubborn defenders. 3. There are very few units with range fire, leaving all ground combat units forced to assault entrenched Russian units, 4. This reminds me more of the nineties Talonsoft games than the more involved HPS games. 5. How can see hexes on the map?
A true wargame and old favorite. Can't wait for more offerings specially squad battles. Buy Tunis 43 and support our hobby on the new devices.
Very confusing and help is non-existent. I'm totally stuck and have given up trying to play. Don't buy!!
