Great and informative, missing one thing
RoniePell

I’ve used this app three times now. I’m nearly due with my third baby, and this app has been so great with tracking my pregnancies. I love all of the features; the symptoms look up and keeping up with doctors appointments. However, I wish it had more features for mother’s who have planned C-Sections. In fact, there’s hardly any information on here for C-Sections. I’d like to be able to put my scheduled C-Section date so it can count down to that day instead of my actual due date. I’d like for there to be more information for C-Sections, especially for moms who have never had one. A C-Section is normal, too. And it should absolutely be normalized on this app.

You can’t start an account on the app

So what’s the point? When you go to the site it says download the app.

Pretty good app for first pregnancy
stol1122

This app has a lot of features that other pregnancy apps have. I’ve tried 4 other ones but keep coming back to this one

STOP ERASING WOMEN!
Cheyanne208

This app refuses to use the term “pregnant women” and instead says “pregnant folks, pregnant people and expecting parent”! ONLY WOMEN GIVE BIRTH!

Ads galore and no way to subscribe or delete

It’s good but could be tons better

Updated review: 20 weeks later and was able to deactivate the prenatal prompt which is much better! Still too many ads for breast pumps, cord blood etc and the FitBit still only syncs steps. Syncing weight, sleep and activity has been broken for months. Orignal review: I like the concept and the follow week by week is really cool. It’s a weekly ritual to read them with my husband. Like the milestones and all the notes you can put in there. My biggest gripes are: - stop asking me about the prenatal vitamin!!!! Let me set a reminder in the app if needed but if you ask me as soon as I wake up I can STILL forget because I don’t gobble it in bed when I check the app! - the amount of ads for breast pumps, cord blood etc are very repetitive and annoying. I don’t need to think about a breast pump at 8 weeks. - the FitBit connectivity could be so so much better. The only thing it tracks correctly are steps. Weight was working but it stopped, sleep is always incorrect. Activity doesn’t translate, Nutrition/water intake would be lovely to track from FitBit instead of the portioning that is not intuitive at all. Lots of opportunities there.

Love this app!

I love this app! I can write notes to my baby, the insights and updates are always so informative and positive. I like how easy the app is to use. I do wish the community aspect didn’t require answering the survey from the poster in order to read the comments, but other than that, it’s a great app!

Needs gender neutral terms
Ispep44

It’s a bit annoying to read her one sentence and him the next. Wouldn’t it just be easier to say “their” until the sex is known? It would make it more consistent… Other than that the app is fine.

Lots of Resources & Info

I’m newly pregnant and decided to download all the pregnancy tracking apps because I have so many questions. Ovia was the most informative and helpful app out of all of them. The coolest thing is that they get you a free breast pump and free belly band with Aeroflow with your insurance! I think that is so helpful for new moms or any mom who needs it! It also asks lots of health questions and helps you not only track baby but also tracking your prenatal appointments. It reminds me to take my prenatal vitamins and it tells me daily information about how the baby is forming and growing. I love this app. I never would have known that I can literally get a free pump through insurance and who knows what else. They also have an option to set up a registry and you’ll get a free gift but I already have one so I’d rather not go through making another haha. If you’re curious about lots of info I highly recommend. There’s also a newsfeed where other moms ask questions and lots and lots of articles with info on food and medicine safety. I look up random food items all the time and it’s really helpful for that paranoia I have about doing the wrong thing. It has information on mental health education and mental health resources. As well as general health and prenatal health. I think it’s all around the best app out there.
