Love to see a news widget

iPhone and iPad apps are very good. Applaud the fact there is an iPad version in landscape mode. Would suggest creation of a news widget for those who use the widgets section on the iPhone and iPad to rapidly review information. Not sure if Apple can help with creation of the widget. Thanks
Covid updates

I just subscribed but am going to cancel. It’s impossible to read the Covid facts, look at the zip codes or find the simples thing like the daily update in all the tiny information on the page. Sigh. It’s not difficult. Terrible app
Bad news app

A very disappointing news app for Orange County, CA. Poor design and hard to find stories. You can’t even log on if you’re a paid digital subscriber. You need to look at the LA Times app for the proper way to make a news app for mobile devices.

The app would would be more favorable if the news each day was current instead of a day old. No one wants to read old news.
Too little & too many unlearned tech enhancements

With so many how to similar app to learn from it’s a shame they didn’t learn anything. At best it can be described as low tech without contemporary app enhancements such as readable graphics and tables. Even after describing the low performance of this app the tech staff seems incapable of correcting these deficiencies

If the Register wants to survive into the next decade they really need a less lame app. This is mix of yesterdays pictures, intrusive ads (if i wanted intrusive ads I’d stick with Google and AP News), non-intuitive directories, and click-gimmicks. Most importantly very little news. Where’s the news? See how the Economist does their app and hire some grown-ups.

Ad after ad after ad. What makes it worse is that it is the same ad over and over again. The “news” as they report it is days old.

Not a very good app. Very limited and expensive. Not going to write a long review just very in happy. Also they make it very difficult to cancel subscription.
