I love this app!

Milehibill89

I scoured the App Store to find an app that would allow me to use my iPad Pro as it was designed, as an ever present instrument for everything. In Notes Plus I have found such an app. Not only am I able to write notes on the spot, but I can whip out the keyboard to type in data, or use the keyboard to go out on the internet, via the browser and import material. Then if the information comes in to fast I can turn on the recorder and/or camera and capture things for later analysis. I am still practicing with all this app can do. If you are a student or a ‘student-of-life’ you need this app.

Great App but...

There are three much needed features that the free version INKredible has, that’s missing in this Pro version. First, it would be nice to be able to position the toolbar along any of the four edges. Second, the color picker should have a dedicated position on the toolbar. Third, a rather minor one, the included browser should open in splitscreen. The first two are quintessential for a five star rating. Edit: This is why iOS is a great platform, here the end users do matter.

Good App, but missing a few features that could make it great

UPDATE: I am updating my review to 5 stars because of the impressive responsiveness of the developer. This developer actually reads feedback and shows that he cares about what his users think. I really love this app and will continue to use it. Thank you for the support you provide to users. I am waiting patiently for the update to be able to use eraser and revert back to pen after erasing. I purchased this app recently to use for taking notes on my iPad Pro. I have used their Inkredible note taking app on the Android platform and also used the free version on my iPad. I like Inkredible but it lacked some features like organizing your notes into notebooks and folders. I use a generic stylus Evach and it writes perfectly on note plus There are two features I would like to see in this app to make it a five star for me. 1. I would like to be able to flip through pages from right to left and back like you would a real notebook page. So instead of two fingers to scroll pages up, or down would be great if you could flip through pages with two fingers. You could make it an option to choose between scrolling and flipping pages. 2. When using the eraser, the Inkredible app has the option to go back to the pen after erasing to resume writing without having to touch the pen each time after erasing. This is a good feature you already have in your free app. Please bring that to Note plus. Just make it an option for those who want to use it. I will update my review as I have more time with it. Voice recording notes would be a great addition. I see a microphone that looks like can be used to record voice notes, but I don't see any options for doing that. Thank you for continuing to support this app. It has the potential to become the best note taking app and my favorite for the iPad.

No real portrait support?

I have to rotate my IPad Pro in landscape to get eraser and highlighter functionality? What??!

Worked fine at first but not so well now

When I first downloaded the app I absolutely loved it. I deleted all the other note taking apps and used this as my primary. However, after some time it started having lots of glitches and it sometimes doesn’t allow me to write with my Apple Pencil. At first I thought it was the pencil but after speaking with Apple we came to the conclusion that it was the app. I hope the issue gets resolved soon because I really love the app.

The very best

This application is so feature rich that I bet you haven’t used them all. I tried numerous note taking applications and Notes Plus IS the very best in handwriting quality, organization, features and reliability.

Copy/Paste converted to text sentence.... app crashed - now app won’t work

JueJuey

Wrote a quick sentence, converted it to text, used ‘copy text’ link... pasted to safari search line - success. Returned to app and it now doesn’t recognize the Apple Pencil, my fingers, anything. The app just stopped working. Doesn’t recognize anything. Deleting and downloading again doesn’t resolve problem... Now I’m out 10.00 for an app that doesn’t work - DOESN'T WORK AT ALL

Amazing features, but falls short where it counts

I read about this app when researching various note taking options. So far, I’ve been using pdf expert, notability, GoodNotes, margin note, liquid text, PowerPoint, and apple notes at different times for different things as they all have their own strengths. I finally read somewhere that this app was notability and goodnotes in one. From a feature standpoint, this app is incredible. There are more useful features than any other program out there. In that sense it really is an all in one. The problem is in the infrastructure itself. With an Apple Pencil, it is unusable if you need to write very very quickly. (Such as take notes in a pathology or virology lecture). It requires a relaxed and slow pace, and was unable to perform the way I need it to. So then I tried to use it as a place to put my diagrams and pre-written notes. Well, that was also an issue. Unfortunately the drag-drop feature has a good chance of freezing the iPad and losing work. Alright, so then just for reading PDFs - since the user interface really is beautiful and well thought out. Well, maybe with small documents. Once a 170 page Lecture is fed in, it drags the whole iPad down with it. Notes plus unfortunately feels outdated and bogged down. It’s such a great looking program. It would be nice to see it lose some weight and gain some muscle. Just as a comparison, Good notes slightly suffers from the sluggishness, but nowhere near this badly. Noteability, however, is very very fast and lightweight, and can handle the type of tasks needed for content heavy topics. It’s a powerhouse, and I was hoping notesplus would be too.

?? almost perfect

Great app but the only thing I don't like is when you zoom in to write accurately between the lines it doesn't move automatically to give you more space to write when you've run out of room. If there can be an update for that then the app will be perfect!

Most beautiful hand writing, least reliable app, no real commitment to fix!

First: DO NOT INSERT A PAGE IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR NOTEBOOK. YOU MAY CORRUPT YOUR NOTEBOOK! You can find out bellow what I wrote before recent update. I regret to inform you all the issues still persist. After the new update, I thought they are seriously trying to fix the issues. I tried it again. I lost several pages of my notes, only because I inserted a few pages in between. The voice I records get disassociated from the text. The issue of using Apple Pencil is still there. These are the major ones in my opinion, especially disappearance of pages. There are plenty other which some are mentioned by others. The worst things is that despite of all of these complains about the issues, instead of getting everybody's help, for instance mentioning it in their website, and sending an email to their customer, and requesting to email send them a corrupted note, so they can find the bugs, they upload a bogus update, and fool everybody to corrupt more of their notes. It is very sad! Once it was the best note taking app. Pros: compared to the other apps it has several futures which none of other apps has: 1. Most beautiful handwriting. Specially the viscosity future of the fountain pen is awesome. 2. Multiple clipboard entries which help you a lot in scientific or lecture writing experience. Imagine writing a highly mathematical notes. You can copy several master equations in your clipboard and copy them and then do some minor changes. 3. The primitive shapes and arrows help you to create good graphs. 4. Adding name to each page help you to find a particular part of your notes easily. CONS (Glitch all over the place!): 1. The support of Apple Pencil is not very good. Some of your tiny writing disappear. 2. Inserting a page corrupts a page after that, so you end up loosing a page if you decided to add a page in the middle of a notebook. 3. Voice recording is basically fake. It only keeps the voice while your app is still open, As soon as you close the app the voices disappear. 4. There are other glitches in other functionalities as well. Sometimes the app stops recording your writing. The lasso selection sometimes does not work. The first three, especially second and third one are deal breaker for me. Loosing pages and recorded voice mean I cannot rely on the app in any way. The worst thing is that if you look at their website noting is mentioned about such egregious errors. No timeline to fix them. In the last update for iOS 10, they only mentioned they fixed bugs, but I could not find any of these got fixed after many months, while they were aware of these bugs for a long time. This means either the app was made in such a mishmash way, they don't know how to fix it, or they don't have enough manpower to do that. Such a pity! Apps like Microsoft notes are ugly to use, but you feel, they at least fixed horrible bugs such as these quickly. I am going to move to Noteshelf. Hopefully they would listen more often.
