Updated For The Worse

This app used to be a must have weather app. Having lived in an area which frequently experienced tornadoes, the ability to set warning radius set this app apart from other weather apps, and helped get our family to safety. With the latest update, it appears to have become just like every other weather app. I sure hope the developers will bring back the features of the old versions and I will update me review

Not Alerting

New version stopped alerting and even showing that there were still active alerts from earlier. Needs some fine tuning. Tried several uninstall and reinstalls. This IS version 5.2.

Needs a major upgrade

What happened to being able to see the actual weather alert from the NWS? And how about them voice alerts? They are great for Halloween, but down right creepy in the middle of the night. A freeze warning at 4am, what the hell am I supposed to do with that info, put another blanket on the bed and go back to sleep? I had to shut off sound alerts for this app... can you guess why? I’m about ready to delete this app unless there are improvements. PLEASE restore the ability to select your own alerts and radius/distance. Otherwise this app is no better, probably worse than what is out there now.

No updates

Using 2 other Weathersphere apps along with this one. All seem to be ok and warnings still come through in a timely mannr but no updates in almost 3 years? Maybe not since they sold out to Scripps. Is this app being maintained at all? Latest updates has taken away storm tracks Had it when purchased the app a couple years back Please give back what we paid for

This app used to be great. But since the last "update", it is quite disappointing. I recently got NO notifications for a Winter Storm Watch and a Winter Weather Advisory for my location. You can no longer specify which alerts you wish to receive and which you wish to ignore. I went back to Storm Shield and immediately got notification of a Winter Weather Advisory. I've disabled Weather Alerts and won't go back to it unless it returns to its former usefulness.

Won’t send push notifications even though enabled.

Notifications simply don’t show up

I just need notifications to warn me without actually checking the weather. They show up inside app but not in my Notification Center. Yes I checked, I have the notifications on. It’s simply ineffective...

Great app but not liking the update

I’m confused by the recent update. I used to be able to type in specific locations for alerts. Now I cannot do that and I find it annoying. I don’t want warnings for other random locations. The feature that that allowed me to turn on & off different alerts is no longer available, which I also find disappointing. I feel that if there was a video going through all the changes the update made, the transition would’ve been much easier for me. Disputes all this, I’m giving this app a high rating because of it’s great quality and efficiency to distribute information quickly and accurately.

This app used to fill a niche no other app could touch - you could set the distance that once a weather alert fell within this distance, this app would push a notice to you. It was great especially when traveling, eg. it could tell you there was a severe storm ahead 20, 30, 50 miles or any distance away if you were driving towards it. This allowed you to avoid the storm. Unfortunately this developer dropped this app’s best and most useful feature. Now, it’s just like most other weather apps that give you the basics. It does have a weather alert map but it loads slower than other app’s alert maps. Also, when you move the map around, it has to constantly reload the alerts on the map... slowly. I used to feel this was one of the best weather apps for home and traveling due to its alerting capabilities but now it’s just a second rate weather app with nothing special.

I love this app! Not only does I'd give me crucial weather information when I need it where I live but in hundreds of miles away where my family lives! Highly recommended.
