Good application for outdoor runs. Absolutely trash for indoor tracking, even with the Apple Watch. Would like to see the splits and records of my friends and leaderboards.

NRC

loyally paying

Is this no longer compatible with the APPLE watch 1st Gen?

Love this app!!! (And everythings free!!!)

Olivia Sartorius 122

This app has helped me incredibly! I wanted to run a half marathon once my sports season was over, and with this app I have a plan to follow for training! I knew nothing about the details of running or training for a half marathon but the NRC has taught me all of this!

4.8 stars for little info on running? Suspicious…

Skyscan305

Let me just say that I’m totally new to running. Couch to 5k status. This app is fairly worthless for new runners. Pacing? No information provided. If you can’t outright start with a full 20-minute run, don’t bother with this app.

Very useful with one crucial flaw

m.c.long

The coaching in the guided runs on this app has been indispensable to me for turning running into a fun and sustainable pastime. It’s impressive that there are so many guided runs you can access in a free app. I would use the app to record all of my runs if not for one factor: the sound cues are no good for running while listening to podcasts. When a sound cue comes on (to tell you mileage, pace, time, etc.), rather than pausing the music or podcast in the background, it continues the sound at a very low volume. This is nice for listening to music but deeply annoying for listening to podcasts because you miss part of what’s being said. There is no way to change this in the settings. This means that when I want to run with a podcast on (which I do for the vast majority of my runs), I use RunKeeper instead, even though I would much rather use NRC for all of my runs. App developers, if you are scouring the comments looking for things to update, please, I am begging you, make it an option to change this in settings.

Zero stars. Stopped working.

let me write a neg review

Tech support promised was never delivered. Sad cuz I’ve been a “niker” for many years but with no appreciation or loyalty to me I am moving on and finding other apps.

Great coaching, terrible audio integration

Thatguy38

The guided runs are great and enjoying the plans a lot. However the biggest issue is volume/sound related. The app only integrates with Apple Music and Spotify. Neither are services I use much unfortunately. While you can listen to things like audible, it doesn’t pause them when the coaches are talking. However speaking of the coaches talking, this is the biggest issue. There isn’t a way to adjust the coaches speaking volume, they are all very soft spoken. So you can either adjust the volume each time a coach speaks and again when you want to listen to anything, have the coaches volume acceptable but bleed from the ears when music turns back on, or have the music be below hearing damage levels but the coaches extremely hard to hear.

Extremely disappointed in Nike Run and Training Club!

lalimommy

I have been an avid Nike Run Club and Nike Training App user for a few years now and last used both with my Apple Watch series 2 two days ago, only to have both disappear from my watch as of this morning. After hours on the phone with Apple customer service, Nike, then again with Apple, I learned that both apps will only be supported by an Apple Watch series 7 or later. Shame on you Nike for this sudden requirement! What is worse, your customer service support was evidently unaware of this requirement!

Bogus, inconsistent app

TPBCS

Pretty bad app. It will just arbitrarily stop tracking a run you’re in the middle of. Constantly have to delete and redownload.

DEAR FUTURE RUNNERS

Trying to get into running? Need some guidance? Already experienced? Well, from newbies to oldies, I HIGHLY recommend guided runs. They make you feel accomplished after every run with coach talking to you, making you have a conversation with yourself as you run. I love it. Using it to train for a half marathon in a month??I’ve used this app since I was in jr high, high school and I have always loved it
