Great potential - crippled by bugs

It would easily be a 4.5 - 5 star game, if it weren’t for numerous, persistent bugs causing the game to fail to load or hard-exit when one attempts to open it. If these issues are resolved (and remain so across a couple of updates / events) I will happily update my rating. I’ve played this game off & on since release, and I have enjoyed it - when it loads fully. At numerous times during the time since release, the game will hang during loading or in the “News / Announcements” pop-ups that happen before the game fully loads, or simply exit entirely during the loading process. Previously, this has even caused me to be unable to exchange materials before an event ended. It’s always very frustrating, but I have trusted the developers to work these kinks out. It is a new & ambitious game, after all, and when it works it is indeed amazing. The most recent update causes the game to repeatedly hard-exit when loading reaches 60%. It’s a shame, because I would like to log in, collect the rewards, & play the seasonal events. It doesn’t matter how wonderful the content, gameplay, story, characters, and other aspects of a game are if one cannot make it past the loading screen. I’m going to attempt some more drastic measures to see if I can make the game work, but this shouldn’t be necessary. If nothing else, a game should start. Players should not need to resort to tactics & strategies simply to *load* & start the game. I have a great deal of love for Nier & I can tell that the developers share these feelings, for their characters & settings, and the stories that can be told through them. There is so much wonderful content in this game already… I just wish I could play it, and an iPhone X should be fully capable of running this game or at the very least, getting through the loading process. Please take a look at rectifying these issues & preventing them in the future. I’m sure I’m not alone in wanting to play this game & being disappointed when I’m unable to. Thanks to all the staff for their hard work, especially during this time of year. I wish you luck & success in your future endeavors both with this game & any others you may make in the future (which I would be excited to play, regardless of the issues I’ve had with this one).

Crashes Every Time

Really wanted to try this game. Looks cool, but it crashes within 3 minutes of playing. I’m playing on a 12 Pro MAX as well.

Please, you gotta fix how the game crashes on startup so so so frequently. It often takes 3-4 attempts. But after that first loading screen its totally fine. Often, the moment I click to resume from suspended data it just crashes right away. I love this game and the management, but the bugs can be bad. Please fix!

New Bug issues

Ive been playing this game for awhile now and started to notice the app will close its self once opened. While playing quests i cannot trigger any special attacks because the game has lost the sense of touch which forces you to loose controls. Please fix these bugs I really enjoy this game especially after a hard day.

Takes 50 seconds to load in on last generation iPhone (not pro model) but still the same cpu as the pro model.

This is one of the most greedy, low effort games I’ve ever played. Gacha fames in general are disgustingly predatory, but this game is worse because it actually tries to attach itself to the NieR series which is actually amazing. On top of that, the game is just the most boring, tedious, and horribly balanced games I’ve ever had the displeasure of playing. I can’t wait to see this game fail and be shut down due to low engagement. I’ve never seen a game get deserted by it’s player base so quickly. Lots of NieR fans were hesitant about a gacha game to begin with, but even the ones who tried it quit. It’s like every 2 weeks my entire friends list on this game stops playing permanently. It’s a testament to how bad this game is. This could have been a truly great game if it never got twisted into a mobile gacha game. The music is amazing as always, and the stories and very good despite being told through such a terrible medium (Mobile gacha games). Square Enix is scum, through and through. They release broken PC ports regularly and never fix them. They try to rip every penny from their customers wallet, and are willing to disgrace and ruin franchises to do so. They are even beginning to e corporate cryptocurrencies and NFTs into their games. Good luck with that Square Enix. I hope you enjoy ruining truly beautiful works of art for your own personal wealth.
