So much better than the official app!

I’ll admit that it took me a while to try out Reddit Is Fun. I stubbornly clung to the official reddit app, excusing the poor loading times, frozen videos, and constant loss of connection on my service provider. After switching apps, I’m happy to say that all of those problems “mysteriously” disappeared. I’m not usually the sort to rate an app, let alone leave a review, but I just have to say it. If you’re frustrated with Reddit’s official app or their mobile site - use Reddit is Fun instead. You won’t regret it.

There’s an issue now where every message or notification when tapped opens the app which times out. This is not systemic with reddit nor does it happen with other apps - so I have to think it’s a narwhal issue. I’m trying to get some support or even acknowledgement of the issue on the sub reddit there was no reply or comment despite numerous upvotes clearly identifying this as an issue. It’s a 5 star app with a major time out but that takes it to three. Enough of s problem I’ve switched back to beam for now - we’ll see if it’s fixed.

This is by far the best Reddit app I’ve come across; however, the video playback is awful.
Can we please get a full screen option on iPad?

I’m not happy with any of the reddit apps but this one is my most used now. I would like to see an easier way to filter unwanted subreddits and a way to filter posts from specific users. It feels way too tedious to go through several menu pages and type out the subreddit I want to filter. Why is the video player so bad? Sometimes it plays video for about .5 seconds then freezes but audio keeps going. Scrubbing through video is often times slower (and way more frustrating) than just waiting for the video to get to the point you want. Needs a better way to activate dark mode. Not needing to go back to the main page and losing a place you were at.

I love the app. The customization makes it a better choice than most reddit apps available here. However there is one improvement the devs can work on. Please add the silver and platinum award badges to posts and comments. It would be a lot better. Thank you.
