Very Clever

A good SF story takes a premise like “people live on Mars,” and examines how the world is different because of people living on Mars. Mushroom 11 starts with an interesting premise, grow a fungal blob through a Post-Apocalyptic landscape by destroying it on one side, but fails to follow through on all the implications. Particularly, it doesn’t allow the camera to leave the portion of the blob the game feels you should be looking at, doesn’t provide a mechanism for swapping the camera focus, erases any of the blob that leaves the currently visible part of the level, and has puzzles requiring the blob to be split into two portions that are larger than the area the game will show you. This would be an interesting game if the blob could usefully be split up or there were a way to freeze one portion of the blob to allow better control of where it grows. As it is, the concept feels half-finished.

It’s an awesome mix of game types!

It’s like a *inhales* extremely-complicated-puzzle-adventure-one-of-a-kind-game. *exhales the rest of breath* that was shorter than I thought.

Secrets!!

I absolutely love this game, and it’s probably one of my all time favorites. The controls are super responsive, and the physics are surprisingly good Although sometimes some hilarious happens, like when my mushroom decides to become a rocket in the middle of a boss stage On the whole, this is probably one of the best game out here and the puzzles are complicated but fun Ok so now I’ll give a few spoilers, but know the game doesn’t actually tell you these things If you pay attention to the background, you can slightly piece together what happened in this apocalyptic landscape For example, in the first and second level there are billboards advertising an anti-aging product, and in chapter 4 (I think) there a bunch of little mushroom balls along with “A life without end is not a life worth living” so I’m guessing that the mushroom was used in, or is a product of that anti aging thing. Also you might wanna check out that tire swing in chapter two Good luck!

Broke all the rules

Wow, that was... weird! Atmospheric and grotesque, and extremely tricky, but very, very well thought out and fun to play! The mood reminded me of Earthbound, sort of too depressed to be more than mildly creepy, if that makes sense... and the gameplay is amazing. I played through the whole game and I still don’t know the rules of how to move, you just... do it. It’s all about feel and finesse, but the problem solving thrown in sets the pace perfectly. Only complaint? The game really is very short. I finished it in maybe 3 hours of solid gameplay, over 2 days? That’s not a lot for $4.99, gotta be honest, so a little disappointed there. I’m not really sure if it’ll have much replay value, so that really is a disappointment. Hence, 4 stars instead of 5.

Amazing game!

I love this game. I’ve beat it twice. I hope the developer makes a sequel to it.

Why not offer difficultly levels?
Idontwant12345678

I hate playing the same difficult spot in a game again & again only to die 3/4 of the way through each time. Maybe offer difficulty level (easy, regular) or after an extremely difficult maneuver offer a checkpoint so there is a reason to make me want to finish.

Very unique!

One week ago I taught my dad how to download games on the App Store because he only played scrabble. So the next day I found him playing a green blob game with obstacles. I asked him what’s that? He said it’s a game where you have to erase part of a green blob to guide it through these 7 levels. So I said where did you find it? He said I searched up editors choice games and I was like the number one loved game. Then I started play and LOVE I!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I am still on chapter 2. I’m 8 by the way.

BEST GAME EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
anteannyn

This is the best game I have ever played there is only one problem I play on an iPad Mini andThere is a problem with the achievements I cannot view my achievements at all and it never tells me if I get an achievement so for all I know it’s not registering when I get achievements.
