It is a jack of all trades and master of none, meaning that it does a number of things good but doesn’t have it spot on 100% for one in particular. It hasn’t had many updates in the last few years as compared to say, Procreate, but it does many things that Procreate doesn’t. Is it worth what they are charging? No, but with a few tweaks and updates plus some refining of what’s here it will be well worth the price they are asking.
I like the app, but it could be better.

I am a project manager and estimator for a masonry company. I like this app for a lot of reasons and will most likely keep the subscription after the free trial. I am using the app with a iPad Pro and Apple Pencil. I use it for hand written math notes when I do takeoffs and estimates at my desk instead of scrap paper. I then export the notes as a pdf and save them in the job file. I use it for sketching. I use it in the field to take pictures and make notes so when I get back to the office I can create a work order for a field guy or estimate a job. It would be awesome to see the following changes. I would like to see when you open a blank project, an infinite amount of drawing space is shown on the first layer so things can be sketched full size with the ruler. I don’t like that you need to pick your scale in the beginning. Let me choose that when I export. I also think you should be able to change the ruler scale at any time. It should always start 1’ = 1’. But when you click the ruler setting you should be able to change it to whatever you what without effecting the drawing or page size. If I am taking photos using the app from the field and marking them up as I go with notes, I need a place to retrieve the clean camera jpeg images so I can use them in a proposal when I go back to the office. When you are in a project, there is a button with two little squared that brings you to a screen where you can see all the pages in a document. First, that screen should go right to the view with all the little documents. Second, when you click edit, there is a button to add another page, you should be able to pick a template for that page that’s being added. Last when you start a new project, you should be able to select a custom template of your own from the quick select.

I am a very untechnical person, and it has taken me awhile together semi fluid using this app, but any problems have been operator error. I am working on a large ranch, designing various gardens, field programs, animal structures, you name it. This is my go to tool and it makes everything easy to share, change, design on. Love it.
Sketch is right, drafting it isn’t

I was a drafting pro for a couple of decades and now I was looking for software for a new home project. This would probably be a reasonable collaboration tool or great for working on top of pro drawings. For doing some serious precise vector not raster drawing I’d recommend looking for something else. Honestly I haven’t found anything close to the real deal without paying for real drafting software. In closing for the money involved this appears to have some great features, it’s just not what I’m looking for.
