Excel Review - mobile version

Tim Ault

Just started using Excel on I-Phone. Working ok on the basic uses so far. The major problem so far is that I have not been able to derive any meaningful help from the instructions provided and the program wants to reset to auto save all the time. The icons could be a bit more intuitive or alternately an effective tutorial could be provided. All and all the mobile version will be very useful - up until the time the vendor decides to increase the purchase price beyond reason. So goes the Evolution of all software! Tim Ault Geologist

Scatter plots draw wrong

My scatterplot to rendered incorrectly using this app. It’s as if a child played connect the dots.

So Convenient and Reliable

This app is amazing and works really well when paired with the magic keyboard. All it’s missing, to get a 5-star review from me, is the ability to edit folders. Give me the option to delete, rename, etc. the folders just like I am able to on my desktop.

I use this for everything

ExcelDummy

My chores list, my grocery list, my to do list, personal finance, my work out manager, my music practicing aid, etc. I use it on the iPad, laptop, computer, web app on other computers. Helps me be organized. Love the cloud features. I never leave these reviews, but excel really has been such an aid to so many aspects of my life.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ However, the prominent placement of the diamond icon (? in the upper right corner) used to activate a Microsoft 365 subscription may be a little obnoxious ?

Microsoft is destroying functionality!

Ringdelio

Wuderlist was a wonderful app. It kept lists, synched across my devices, and across my family (if I choose). I used it to run my life. MS acquired it, changed the name to ToDo, decided it was perfect as an enterprise project management system (it’s not, and I have run big projects), and made it nearly impossible to rely on if you are not sitting at your desk all day like a MS developer. It got rolled into the MS system, and of course double password protected. Right away I hated this—I don’t need my grocery list defended from the Russians. Then it decided that I couldn’t leave it on—it would log me out to protect my data. A big waste of more time. Then it decided I needed to use their proprietary two-party app to provide a backup authentication. Did they even think about how much fun this would be standing in the middle of Home Depot and trying to work through this morass just to verify which woodscrews I wanted to buy? Here’s a hint for the developers—software should help us get stuff done, not be a merry-go-round of interaction with the system. Time to find a new app.

The app freezes if I have not used the app in a while. On numerous occasions, I have had to delete the app and reinstall the app. How can we resolve that problem?

closing spreadsheet

Ryzen3

needs to be clearer on how to properly close a sheet so it’s not locked for editing... Closing excel keeps the sheet locked for me as causes issues when opening on another device... if i properly close the sheet then the app everything works well...
