If all you want to do with it is view your spreadsheet, it will work, sort of. That being said it’ll cost you 10 bucks a month if you want to be able to edit the file or save it locally for offline viewing. On top of that it doesn’t recognize existing MS Office accounts from PC, and it lacks even basic formatting features that you’d expect to use on a spreadsheet.

The iPad OS app is still a long way away from being a fully fledged version of excel. Would love to see all the shortcuts of the desktop versions included in the mobile version, especially with the introduction of very capable hardware in the iPad range. Would love to see the introduction of modification of pivots and slicers on the mobile version, the only workaround i found was to edit your sheet on the office 365 website through safari, but unless you have all you sheets on one drive, that can be a bit troublesome. For me most of my sheets and documents are on Dropbox, so it is not a smooth transition at all.

It could be better if this app also work for Ipad Pros. I have a free account on very old version ipad and not on IpadPros. Even I’m logging my same email, its asking me to pay for the apps. No free for newer Ipads.

Why do i have to go online to get full excel support? Why cant you just take that and put it into the app? Very frustrating.
