Everytime I try n download this app it does not let me. Is this some kind of joke. So to use messenger I have to use safari what a pain in my butt

I don't not get any kind of notice that I get a message. No light up on my notifications no sounds. Nothing. And it is very very aggravating

So every time I get a message from messenger I could only hear the ding sound and my phone lights up but I see no message at all until I open the app. Please fix this problem soon
