"What [Mendeley] are up to is boldly innovative. The Mendeley team is attempting nothing less than changing the way scientists conduct and share their research." - Wired
I’m using the app on the iPad, and I will say it’s super nice to have the conveniently synced files on my computer and on the iPad. I really like the apple pen integration. Some of the bugs that I have come across include double-syncing of the folders (two copies of all of my folders existed when I first got the app, and deleting one deleted them both), and the fact that the highlighted portions of the text get continually darker and darker each time I come back to the article, as if I highlighted the same portion over and over again. Edit: They fixed it!!!
I love the app and Mendeley when it works. But I have had to uninstall and reinstall it countless times because of freezing on the startup. It works well for a bit and then stops working. Aaargh!
How hard can this be? Mendeley is nothing more than a glorified folder explorer at it it’s heart. Yet it freezes constantly when even just doing that. The worst part of my day is opening mendeley to document an interesting paper or find an old source. This app is horrible at just navigating folders. Let alone reading and annotating PDFs
So happy to be able to annotate on a mobile device. I bought this here iPad for this very purpose after I saw it work on an iPhone. I really wish this functionality was available for Mendeley on Android, but since I can’t beat them, I have joined them.
When manually entering a document I can't advance to the authors last name. App simply won't let me
LOVE all the feature of this reference manager. The pdf highlighting tool is so useful. I also like that it’ll pick up other references one the page of the journal you are looking at, so you can go ahead and tag those in too. Awesome!
Please add the sketching option in annotations. Many people prefer handwritten notes. Thank you
Why are you deleting such a useful apps especially when some of us need this application for our research and we need to collect as much as possible. If you want more people to fund you then just ask and we’ll happily fund because I do not want it to be another web app.
