MeasureKit contains 7 measuring AR tools:
1) Ruler — measure straight lines on any surface, such as a desk or wall.
2) Face Mesh — check different attributes of your face (available on iPhone X).
3) Trajectory — measure by “drawing” (moving your device) in the real world.
4) Marker Pin — measure distance from device camera to fixed points in space.
5) Angles — measure corners.
6) Person Height — measure how tall someone is.
7) Cube — visualize how big something is.
8) Level — check if something is horizontal or vertical
Chaining Mode in Ruler Tool allows you to quickly link multiple rulers together in one measuring session and measure floor area enclosed by a chain — useful for measuring an area of a room.
MeasureKit features an advanced internal algorithm for world understanding using ARKit. This allows the app to offer really smooth and accurate measuring experience including on walls and other vertical planes. While most of similar AR ruler apps are limited to measuring accurately only on a desk & floor, with MeasureKit you can easily measure a painting on your wall, for example.
So far this app has been virtually useless with points in 3D space that could be most anywhere except where you thought them to be. Don’t expect to get the same answer twice. I’m still not sure if my friend is 5’ 1” or 6’ 3” tall. I’m still hoping future versions get better.
Developer had to know they were releasing junk. I kinda thought Apple caught this sort of thing. Silly me
This app is broken and no longer worth downloading because the face mesh feature is locked behind the paywall now. Worst company ever.
Thanks to this app I was able to fight a Fire Hydrant Ticket, I was able to prove that I was 15 feet away from the fire hydrant and the $115 ticket was dismissed! Everyone should have this app on their phone. It’s essential!!
Making one tool free each week isn’t giving back what people had before. Give the people who had the app first week the IAP free and make things right. Don’t start something free, then take it all away without warning.
The free version only offers the measuring ruler, which doesn't work. Once it came within 5% of the correct length. Once. Every other time it either couldn't begin a measurement or was off by 3-500%. Is that supposed to inspire us to pay $5 for the rest of the features?
Would be great if it worked. As noted by others, it is impossible to place the ends of the ruler just where you want them. Accuracy and precision are not good enough for any useful purpose.
According to the last review, we're babies for complaining after paying for an app. Sorry, but I paid $5 for this app and the height measurement stinks. Love measuring a known 5'10" subject and having this app say 5'1" yup... Not worth the $5 asking fee. waaaaaaah waaaaaaah
Completely inaccurate, and the more interesting tools (which, based on the ruler, are probably also totally inaccurate) require the upgraded version.
