Nice app that has room for improvement

Albuquerque Mike

It really has added something to my outlook as an endurance athlete, particularly as I approach 50. My legs feel fresh and I have logged more marathons in one year than ever before since using this program, including two of my fastest three and a new P.R. That said, I'd love to see it be switchable to landscape view (which would be easier to read from my arm band) and to allow for some nuance in training pace... For now, at least as far as I have been able to figure out, options are limited to one-minute increments, so one cannot train on a plan for an 8:20 mile, but only an 8:00 or 9:00 mile. Finally, the app sometimes (rarely) freezes when measuring a timed run, such that one must rely on a watch or other means to know when to quit. Note that music bought on iTunes cannot be synced to the app, so keep this in mind when choosing tunes.

Awesome app! I'm not a fast runner & have run/walked half marathons for several years. I'm now training for my first marathon and this app gives you easy to follow daily runs with no need to create a marathon training program for yourself. This is a huge relief for a first time marathoner. Simply follow the program and you're ready. My recovery time has been quick with no pain even though I have bad knees. Thanks Jeff Galloway!

LOVE!!

Can't listen to streaming music

Would really like the ability to play music from another app instead of having this app take over the audio.

Nice "coach"

So far so good. Finished the first week. Time and distance display is very good - clear, customizable. Changing speed of the music works pretty well on tunes from my collection although a few could not be interpreted into the format it uses to get the beat. Jeff Galloway's "coaching" is actually enjoyable with useful tips. Setup is easy and it looks like modifying the workout program will be easy. Good app for any runner but especially for one starting out.

26.2 running app

This app is wishy washy and not consistent. It has stopped tracking my distance and run/walk ratio in the middle of multiple runs making it impossible to track your progress.

Awesome Running Coach App

I am training For the Dopey Challenge at Walt Disney World. Coach Galloway recommends the run/walk method for pain free running and this app was listed so I decided to try it. So far after three weeks I can say that I truly enjoy the work out. Coach Galloway's training tips keep me motivated and the synchronization of my music to the tempo keep me running. Highly recommend for both beginners and seasoned runners who are looking to run for longer distances and don't have hours to train.

Good, but....

I would give it 5 stars if you could listen to your own music without keeping this open on the main screen. I like to listen to podcasts (or Zombie Run?) when I run (especially on long runs), but when using this app I have to keep my phone in my hand during the run (not put it to sleep and keep it in my flipbelt).
