MapMyRun is a great app to record your running workouts. I have tried a few other apps but none are as good as MapMyRun 👍🏾
This used to be a great app but now it gives me an “Application Terminated” alert every 30 seconds of my run. I don’t see any value in a run tracker that doesn’t track my run so I am now in the market for a new app.
My last three runs have not been accurate at all. Today is showed me completing 18 miles in 27 minutes. I showed it to my wife and she said “Wow! You’re ready for the Olympics”. Would love a response to let me know if there’s something I can do to help fix this issue. Reliability being an issue will cause me to discontinue using this app. Thanks

Was a daily runner a year ago. Used this app religiously. It had some glitches. New version works flawlessly. No glitches yet.
Generally works very well for me, but lately my runs have been pausing frequently (every few seconds or so) without me hitting pause or ceasing to run.
Sometimes the app chooses to work well and a lot of the time it chooses not to work. I use the app on my iPhone 8 with my Apple Watch. I will launch the app on my phone and sometimes it will sync with the app on my phone so I can see my time and distance but a lot of the time it will not. Also the app will randomly stop recording then will start back up. Today I added an extra half mile to my two mile route (a route I measured numerous times) yet when I got home the app said I didn’t even run 2 miles. Also I’ll finish my work out and save it then somehow I get an update an hour later saying my work out timed out. So instead of having accurate averages so I can track my progress all of my times are messed up because the app will randomly choose to continue running. Looking to switch apps because this app is making tracking my work puts a hassle.
I am an athlete I know the difference between a 6 minute pace and an 8 minute pace. I was doing mile repeats trying to get a 6 minute pace fast, long strides I was hustling but I started running and I get a notification that the app isn’t going to work till I reopen the application. So I stop and try again. I start the mile really fast and it tells me I’m at a 7:30 pace. I know I’m clearly not so I keep running then I get another notification telling me I need to reopen the app. I click on it taking my eyes off the course but it takes time with my sweaty hands. At the end of the run I know I did a good job but I get credited for a 6:40. :(
