Map My Drive is a simple, easy to use GPS tracking application that will plot where you drive on a map.
Since all the data is stored on your device and is not sent across the internet, you can be sure that it is safe and secure. It is primarily designed to be used for tracking where a car drives, but could be used for other purposes as well such as biking or hiking.

You can create multiple Drives and have complete control over when you want to start and stop tracking for each Drive. Also for each Drive, you can see how far you traveled, how long it took you, see where you stopped and for how long, see what the weather was like along your Drive, and add custom pins to the map that can include images. In addition, Map My Drive can continually track your location (with your consent, of course) in the background freeing you up to use your phone for other purposes.
With an Apple Watch, you create, start, stop, and view Drive details.
While tracking your location, you can quickly and easily share where you currently are with any of your friends.
Using the export options, you can export your Drive to a KML, GPX, or JSON file which can then be shared through email, Google Drive, or any supported installed app. In addition, you can also share a link to your Drive. Every time you share a link to your map, your Drive is exported to your Google Drive account and made available for public viewing to anyone with a link. A special link is then generated which will display your Drive in any web browser making it a perfect way to share your Drive with your friends and family.
Remember, since the files are stored in your Google Drive, you have complete control over them. You can delete them or update the permissions on the files at any time. Please keep in mind that when sharing a link, the file needs to have public viewing permissions otherwise users may not be able to see your Drive with the link you shared.
Since continued use of any GPS service running in the background can significantly decrease battery life, there is a setting that you can change within the app to help fit your needs and reduce battery usage.

It is perfectly accurate and does exactly what it says. It's smooth and simple to use. Some features don't work but those aren't really necessary. Great fast customer support as well.
Great concept but lacks a little

We used this app several trips and it was pretty spot on as far as the track. We would really like to see the ability to download the track as a kml file. This would allow us to pull in the track to google earth and share it with others so they can see where we went. That would be very cool. This function would make it very useful for our car club.
Cute app - free - easy to use - but practically worthless

I need to export the data and all this does is keep track for fun I guess. It's free and the design is cute but it's paralyzed by its limited functionality and is essentially good only for answering what you could almost find out from google maps or your odometer. Has a lot of promise and I'll keep my eye out for updates. It should log places you stop at in the notes and allow export to csv.

I like the app. A lot actually. My issue is why does it randomly stop tracking? Then when you pick tracking back up it just draws a straight line through middle of nowhere instead of using the interstate or something.

I use this app a lot when I scout locations for photo and video shoots. I can coordinate the time stamp on the photo file with the times on the saved drive. That is, until yesterday when my whole cache of drives disappeared. I have to start all over and may not find some locations in rural areas again. Now I'm not sure whether to trust the app or look for a new one

Hey jeff, this app concept is 5 stars. But it doesn't run well in the background. I need to open other apps and let this app tracking down where I drive, but every time when I switch over and check my records, it crashed and reopen it. Can you make the app automatically record/track all the driving even I let it run in the background ? Thanks

I am truck driver and do multiple stops per day and would love for the app to be able to let me use every pinpoint as a destination done I can use the GPS to get to.
