I bought the dad an (Apeman C770) because everyone a key feature was the ability to download videos from the dash can you your phone. That feature is: 1. Complicated to use 2. Doesn’t actually work. As other reviews point out, the camera can’t be recording at the same time it is connected. That means you have to stop recording, push the connect button. THEN it connects. It won’t download a video. It will start, interrupt the connection, then take you back to the folder. It has never downloaded a video. Ever. This was a main feature and selling point of the camera. In a real-world situation, you are in an accident, and you want to show the video to a police officer or the other party. Much easier on your phone. But you can’t. You have to use the dash cam itself, still mounted in your car, or pull out the microSD card, fund a PC, then view it. FIX THIS!!!!!

Instructions are straightforward. The app tells you what to do but you do need to know how to turn on the internal wifi of your dash cam first. The dash cam screen should have the WiFi PW required to enter on your phone and once conntected, just return to the app. Amazing!

Trying to download video to the phone and it crashes every. single. time. Previously used it on an android phone and worked perfectly, seems to be an issue with iOS

It’s a nice concept. However, whenever I try to download a video it will interrupt and take me back to the video section of the app rather than stay where the files are and I think I’ve only ever been able to download three and even then when I try to view them sometimes they don’t appear for me at all so downloading them is virtually useless. As others pointed out, you do have to connect the camera and your phone every single time to see new files therefore you can’t check to see what’s new if you’re far away from the camera. The app is so poorly done for such a good camera so it’s a bit disappointing

Why on earth is a dash cam app pasting from the clipboard in the background after not even being opened for months? The app itself is already bad enough, but this is crossing a line.
