Poor customer service

I used to be able to view my cameras remotely using this app. Lorex customer service told me I can’t now because of a closed internet port. That is false. My internet has not changed. They also set me up so I can log in using a web browser to see my cameras. That doesn’t work either and requires a computer and of all things, Netscape (obsolete browser). I don’t understand why Lorex doesn’t just fix this app so it’s compatible with new the iOS. I spent $1600 on my system originally and don’t see why I should replace something that is working just fine except for this app. Please get this fixed.
FIX FOR VIEWING CAMERAS ON MOBILE DATA

I’m not sure how many people will see this but I hope it helps. The way to fix the issue with only being able to see your device when you on the same network as your camera system is to do the following: 1. You have to enable port forwarding on the ports that your camera uses. You have to do this on the settings of your Wi-Fi network. For example if you are a Verizon fios customer, then you would go to mfiosgateway.com, login, and port forward the ports that needed. 2. Look up the external IP address of your Wi-Fi by going to a website called ping.eu. Make sure you are connected to your Wi-Fi first. Your IP address should be shown on the top of the page. 3. Finally, go to where you would add your device. Put in your username and password. Then add the device by IP and put in the IP address from the previous step. TADA Your cameras should work now when you disconnect from your home Wi-Fi.
App Crashes

After updating to iOS 14.2 the app just crashes upon opening. Given that this app has not been updated in 3 years, I’m not hopeful it will get resolved. Which means I either downgrade my iOS or replace my camera system. So disappointing.
Live view has stopped working with iOS 14.2

DEAR LOREX, PLEASE FIX APP TO ACCEPT IPAD IOS 4.3. EVERYTHING WAS FINE UNTIL I INSTALLED IPAD IOS 14.3. PORT 8000 DOES NOT SEEM TO CONNECT. I LIKE HAVING MY 4 CAMERAS VIEWD ON MY IPAD PRO. THANK YOU . . . . . . . . .
Very Poor App

After many years of putting up with this application, it is clear that Lorex has no intention to improve it. I have 8 cameras and can only view 4, periodically. The Android application in my phone is even worse. Why Lorex can’t invest in decent software is beyond me. As I said, I’ve had their system for quite some time and it has NEVER worked reliably or properly. What good is a real-time security system if you can’t pull up video streams when you need it.

Hard drive and cameras still work well so updating them doesn’t make sense. Will have to if the software isn’t updated and would go with a different brand with a better reputation for updating the software. Please update! Same story, different time: 2/17/20. Time to update!

Never worked right. Slow even tho I have high speed internet. App never updated, tech support ? takes 1 hr waiting to talk to someone, Waste of money!

Hello, Lorex. Please update this app so that it works with my LNR 300 system again! Spending thousands of dollars for surveillance cameras is not something I can just replace to get an upgrade. This is not good for someone with one income and thought the Lorex brand would be top of the line! Buyers - sorry you bought the Lorex system. Will warn others by writing a review on the system itself.
