Annoying Pop-up ads

I loved the Detroit Tigers app and thought this would be similar. However, the pop- up ads make it unreadable. If you open a story you are unable to go back to the main screen because a pop-up ad covers the back arrow and you can't access the other stories. This needs to be fixed or forget about using this app.

Great app. I read through it every day. The news and stories give me all the info I crave about the Lions.

Great lions app. Does not work with latest iOS update. Any time you click on an article, it is blank.
Articles won't load

Used to work great. Fails all the time now. Tried to submit feedback and that fails consistently. Here is my feedback to app Dev. Your articles are no longer loading. I've tried via cell and wireless connection. I've rebooted. I've killed and restarted the app. Articles are viewable via a web link if I send it to myself but not inside the app. I even tried yet is uninstalling and reinstalling. Running iPhone 6s Plus on latest release
