Limnu

Limnu is a collaborative online whiteboard made to be fast and simple enough to use for online meetings and video conferences. With Limnu, you can draw, plan, and think at the same time with other people. Make as many boards as you want, as big as you want, see your boards from anywhere, and all your work is automatically archived. Never again will you have to write "DO NOT ERASE" on your whiteboard. Its as fast and simple as a real whiteboard, and it even looks like a real whiteboard.

Invites go to email. Then once invited you have to use that email to go to a webpage. Then the webpage MIGHT bring you to a white board? Hasn’t worked once correctly. Searching for a friend’s whiteboard shows zero results. Use a code instead? Nope. This app is ridiculous and requires too much activity outside the app.

Seems like a feature that could have been fixed in the last 4 years. Disappointing.

Needs work indeed

I agree with the other reviews. I am using it in my remote class right now to go over problems and I am not impressed. The app works for casual sharing and brainstorming, but not really as a replacement for a board lecture or a presentation that involves ex tempore writing. The lack of palm rejection is distracting (I get lots of unwanted lines) as is the fact that one can too easily accidentally zoom in or out. Writing on the board feels a little like walking on a very slippery surface. You never know what might be happening next. Some form of palm rejection (what is with those straight lines that tend to show up when you rest your hand near the edge of the screen?) would be nice. An option to lock zooming would be appreciated. It also seems that zooming distorts handwriting that is not undone by zooming back. For lefties like me an option to move the menu to the top of the screen might be helpful. Not a big one, but I found that I really would like to be able not to just export a selection on a board, but also to copy that selection to another board (Think consolidating lecture notes onto one board).

Could not sign in... not easy enough!

I've been looking for a whiteboard app that I can use with students, but this does not make the cut. It might be a beautiful app, but it already failed to sign in when I tried to use their google sign-in. I might try it again by making an account, but if the basic log in feature doesn't work I don't have much hope for the app.

Functional. Could use some refinements.

It basically works. The scaling of text sometimes distorts the text. Sharing and working with collaborators is pretty fluid. There may be a little bit of lag, but definitely acceptable.

Buggy and missing a major feature

Careful on your password length, the app isn't as accepting of long passwords as the web site is. The biggest failing however is a total lack of palm rejection on the iPad when using my Apple Pencil. That alone stops me from considering this an an option to purchase a subscription for.
