Unfortunate

Senior Care and technology are a difficult match. We soon realized that my mom was going to have a very hard time using this app and myself and siblings don’t want to have to manage it. Going with a local owned location and leaving it to them

quirky and a tad misleading

KindlyCare is just a match making app basically - they don’t provide much more than matching you with patients in need of caregiving. I applied and went through the registration process which is actually easy and pretty slick as far as constructing a profile but their website/app is not very intuitive from there as far as just logging in and applying for a job. All roads lead back to “apply now” but if you’re already registered it says so and there’s nothing else to do, no where to go from there but there is no confirmation that you’ve actually just applied. I called to get this understanding but in speaking with the specialists NONE of the jobs listed are available for one reason or another so they advise you to just wait til you get a text alert for a new job whenever that might be. I was advised to reply to each text alert job whether I think I’m right for it and want to apply or whether I decline the job it so I keep getting alerts, again whenever that might be and how many others are getting the same alert - who knows I guess the first to apply gets forwarded to the client and it’s probably the same process for them. It just doesn’t seem like a very intuitive way to go about things it just funnels applicants to patients and listings to caregivers but there’s not a lot of filtering or oversight. It’s a good start and I am understanding of it needing work as an app and resource but listing a dozen jobs online that are on hold or inactive is just plain misleading.
