Nothing works

Spent 15 minutes trying to get iSmartPlug to work. Failed each time. No error codes, website or phone # to resolve. Recommend not buying these devices until they in fact have their claimed "easy setup" and a tech support facility to troubleshoot.

day light saving time is incorrectly implemented. And the plug seems to be reboot in a randomly manner, causing the plug fail to shut down the appliance at the programmed time. Also if the plug reboots when it is on, the phone app will show incorrect status, i.e. Power is on, but app shows it is off. This may cause sever problem, cause it shows incorrect status of the power switch. You really, really need to fix this.

Setup wasn't too bad. Have not been able to successfully use schedules. They are easy to create but they don't work. If you want to modify a schedule you cannot edit it. You need to delete and re-add.

Could not even get the software to try and log onto my wifi. Total waste of space! Sending the plug back to Amazon because software doesn't work!
No support

I have two plugs. They work for a few hours then app shows that they are off line and will not go online again until you unplug the plug and when you plug it in again the plug will go online and the plug will again work for a few hours. If you are looking for a toy you might be satisfied if not this product is junk. Also the support website in app will not open. So no support.
SIMPLE IDEA. BAD EXECUTION. App must communicate with plug.

Unfortunately, if you're reading this review, there's a good chance you've already bought the associated product. Do yourself a favor and return it ASAP. Reading the other reviews, it seems that others were actually able to connect the plug to the app, but had issues with dropped connections. I wasn't able to connect in the first place. To top it off, most of the 5 star reviews of the plug on Amazon are...suspicious. Avoid at all costs.

I've actually had no problems at all with this plug. If it's not working it's usually because my wifi signal isn't working, not the other way around. I really wish it was compatible with either Alexa or Apple HomeKit. That's my only gripe.

Instructions are poorly written. My guess is that someone wrote the instructions but never asked anyone who was new to the product to actually read and set up this socket. I do a lot of tech work for my neighbors, I couldn't get this to synch with my wifi. Even if I'm missing something, gadgets should be easy to set up. This wasn't.
