Big fan of the site, now I have the ease of reading on my iPhone.
The app is good and basic. It takes you to the website, which defeats the purpose of having an app. It's annoying and the font is very small. But it is a good localized source of information.
Could you make this for the iPad? Also could the articles be readable from the app?
The articles are merely links to the website, and the career search is inoperable. Considering this app was created in 2010 and there have been 0 updates since then also says that this app lacks support and that nobody cares to do anything about it. A waste of memory space!
So if like me you want to find higher education jobs- you'll leave disappointed. There aren't any jobs listed, in spite of the description saying otherwise. It's just a collection of random articles vaguely related to higher Ed. I'm not sure who this app is for- but its not job seekers.
App was great, then everything stopped working. It appears that the application has been abandoned.
I was excited about the out because I enjoy the website. Although when I look at all of the sections in the app there is no information just a blank white screen.
Nothing listed in Careers. App simply does not work and has no support.
I use this to read Inside Higher Ed's news and other articles. I like that I can wipe left to see the news from the last few days. I also like the little summaries, which give me a quick synopsis of the story. You can look for jobs right from the app, which is a nice touch. The interface is easy to use, but sometimes the images look a little distorted or it's tough to read the headline over the image (or maybe my eyes are too old for my phone).
It does have a featured jobs menu but the jobs are not in any type of categories. Some interesting news on Colleges in the articles, the focus here is not really on employment. Some might find this app useful.
