I am a “Glorious” member who has enjoyed Imgur for a decade, but today is the day I finally quit. No longer is Imgur a place to share funny images, creative videos, and yes - reposts until the end of days. Now Imgur is toxic. It has a disease, and the symptoms are present every day on Most Viral. Pure hatred every day. Whether it’s politicians, corporations, religious peoples, whites, or simply those who have more than them that they envy instead of strive to become, Imgur has become an echo chamber of hatefulness. It literally brings me down instead of up in the morning now. It’s been doing that for a long time actually. I got addicted to the funny memes, but now check it every day just to get sad. I’ve finally realized it and I’m setting myself free. Maybe I’ll check on you again in several years. Good luck, Imgur
App going downhill

I’ve been an Imgur member for years now. Ads are getting more and more frequent. Gifs get cut off if you’re watching from the feed page, which require you to click and rewatch the whole thing. Everytime I switch apps and go back, it starts me at the top of the feed again and I have to scroll down to where I was. Wish it was more user friendly.

The app encourages violence

I just recently came across two comments about burning down news buildings. The mods will not remove it. If you aren’t a far left leaning liberal you won’t fit in here. This is the Democrat’s version of Parler. Sarah, one of the co-founders, encourages this violence and hatred and if you bring it up to her she will ban you from the app. I would only come here if you have an extreme hatred for anyone with a differing opinion.
Phone heats up quickly. App crashes.

On my iPhone XS with the latest iOS, the phone heats up quickly while using the app, and then the app crashes. This happens quite frequently.

The constant resetting of the app has become a major issue. It’s turned me off from using the app as much. If I respond to a text, or do any minor thing in which my full attention isn’t on the app, it reboots and puts me back at the beginning. On a positive note, it’s cute down on the amount of time I spend scrolling through random posts.

I’ve been on since 2016 and in the last year I decided to delete the app. Anyone against a liberal view was attacked viciously in the comment section. That brings up the point of why are we so political on a image app. No fun, full of angry women.
