What happened?!

Anytime I click on a post from the front page and swipe back to keep scrolling the front page, all the the thumbnailed posts rearrange and I lose my place. Is this a glitch? It makes no sense if this is intentional. Also for the love of god, let comments be longer. Replying to your own comment to finish a thought is annoying and outdated, not sure why this wouldn’t be addressed.
No way to turn comments off

You get mobbed by an echo chamber of idiots the second you post anything. I’m not looking for opinions. I just wanted somewhere to post photos for an RSS feed. And there’s no option to turn it off, how dumb.
New update - even worse.

I wish you guys would test the app before you inflict it on us. After having endured the slowdowns and memory leaks for the last who knows how many months, now - as of 1/21/2021 the slowdowns have gone away but the first twenty or so images just keep repeating over and over. Back to the web.
Fine app, but I can’t handle the battery drain

The app is nice, easy to browse and navigate comments. But it drains my battery so fast, and causes my phone to run extremely hot. I deleted it in the end, it’s not worth the battery strain.

The app used to be great for funny posts but now it’s all political posts and who knows who is making these posts. It feels like propaganda and is just not funny anymore.

I was asked to rate this app as a “sponsored” ad came up, dominating the entire screen. Other than that it’s a great way to waste time and get the occasional laugh.

I’ve been an Imgur user for over 5 years and have used it on web, Android, and iOS. The iOS version is probably the worst experience amongst all the platforms. Some features that would make this better: The ability to see the title of a long post when you scroll up slightly. Ability to post pictures in comments Ability to switch between apps, and stay on the same post I was viewing.

Banned Multiple Times Because of Nazis

Imgur has a serious growing Nazi problem. If you suggest anything other than that Nazis deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, it only takes one of them to report you and get your account suspended or banned. This happens because Imgur’s moderation system is automatic most of the time and woefully inadequate to handle speech that has the audacity to suggest that maybe Nazis and Nazi sympathizers aren’t welcome in the community. I’ve been suspended thrice and now banned for participating in discussions about how Nazis aren’t welcome and deserve a punch in the face. If that violates Imgur’s terms of service, then I guess I know which community will get overrun by right-wing fascists next.
