App seems promising, but there appears to be a lot of setup, including setting up gender, big surprise. That said, I sent to add genders and the app crashed. Have not been able to use yet. I had the same issue with LivestockManager as well. Hope this is resolved soon, a great concept.
"Add Animal" Went Missing

Just bought this app yesterday. Seems to be working well. Only a couple of difficulties. Sometimes when I enter info or edit something I will forget to click "save". I know this is my own error, but the app doesn't remind you or let you know that your info was not saved. Also, the "add animal" tab disappeared from my bottom tool bar and from the "more" menu. Having a hard time organizing my calving info, also. I would like to be able to search a Dam in our herd and see a complete history of her calving. Is that not possible on this app or am I just not doing something right?

I've never written a review before but this is the absolute worst app I've ever used! I don't think the developer has ever seen a cow. And the training videos have no sound! Junk!

I’ve tried several of the other apps and this is the best by far. It collects all the information I need and is available when I need it. I like being able to keep a day by day history of any animal and the gestation calculator seems to be the most accurate. Many of the features are configurable, you can set the number of days for gestation by species and breed and change the format of the inventory listing. You can also export the data in several different ways. The other apps so called “Free Apps”, fall into one of two areas, they require full time internet access to use or they are not complete in the information collected. The paid apps are about the same… Many seem to have a mobile app that is part of an expensive PC app and are useless without it or have a subscription price model that makes me nervous. Another strong point of this app is the data for the app is stored on my iPhone as well as on the iCloud (optional), this makes sure that no one can use my data without my knowing. The web based apps specifically tell you that they WILL use your data as they see fit. I personally do not like this. They also fall short on the amount of information stored. Another strong point with iCattleMgrPro is its support. They have live “real person” support this I’ve used and have not found any other similar app that even comes close.

At first I couldn't figure out how to do much with this app. The author was quick to reply and wanted to know what I wanted it to do. Then he told me how to do it. The personal attention is what made this app worth it. There are several updates in the future and I'm ready to see them. We have a small cow/calf operation and have every animal in the app. It is really nice to pull up information in the pasture while looking at them and know their background at a glance. Keep up the good work, Robert!

What's there is good, however missing some essentitials

I'm new to the business and was looking for an easy management tool. The App has the very basics, however it's missing some initial tracking tools. First vaccinations, I couldn't find an easy method for tracking what they have received and their next round. There is a separate App. One of my ladies was sick last week and there wasn't a note page for history, what she had? Treatment? Lot numbers?. Also tracking Dam and sire for is difficult.
