Reviews

I love this app!

I live near the border and frequently have the opportunity to travel into Canada and it's nice to know that this bird guide is tucked away in my pocket! The paintings of each birds remind me of the Audubon paintings and the added bonus of photographs really ensures that I will be able to ID my bird. A further bonus are the bird songs. Being able to actually hear the call as opposed to relying on the pneumonic phrasing is very helpful. Highly reccomended.

Best example guide I have seen yet

I read a review about this app at the "Cloudy Days and Netbook Nights" web site where it was extensively reviewed. I like the fact iBird Canada has both illustrations and photos which no book has ever offered. The bird call sounds are long and loud. The ability to compare similar bird calls is very useful. I am tossing my bird guide and just carrying this app around from now on.

Stunning !

This application is unreal !! Having this resource handy in your pocket is an unbelievable experience. I am a bird watcher and a bird photographer. This application transformed birding for me. A complete access to ALL birds in in Canada within a flick of a finger. The search function is very effective. The reverse look up (helps with identification of a bird) is beyond imagination, I can't see any tool matching this in the field. The illustrations and the photographs are top notch quality. I can't see a better deal for under 10 bucks ! One more thing .. all this is preloaded on the iPhone, so no internet connection is required when you use the application, this is critical, as data coverage in remote areas (where birds are) is limited. Over all a 5 star application ! Keep up the hard work. I will definitely be a returning customer.

Wonderful!

I visit Eastern Canada twice a year. This app has it all - really! The platform is rock-steady and intuitive. All species have several vocals and pics. I also use it in the NE and mid-Atlantic US. A top birding tool.

Compared to Birds of New Zealand, iBird needs quite a bit of work
