Phone Location Permissions:
Phone Location tracking may be turned on or off at any point while using the App for the following features: Location Sharing, Safety Score and Gas Finder
In order to ensure an optimal experience, choose “Always Allow” for Location Permissions. Hum uses your phone’s location and activity sensors to track your activity to provide a Safety Score. To disable tracking of your activity, disable Safety Score in the Menu > Safety Score > Settings.
If Safety Score is disabled, we may continue to use your phone’s location for other features such as Crash Response. To turn off completely, go to your mobile phone settings and disable location.

Not doing what it says

We broke down and this app couldn’t find anyone after we tried looking for 30 minutes in the middle of the highway. We had to call a tow truck directly in order to get assistance. It was too dangerous to stay on the road any longer. I want a refund for all the time I’ve been paying for this in the event we’d need a tow!

My car was stolen 5/16. I got up and it was gone. Got on the Hum app and saw where it was and it was moving. Called 911 and stayed on the line with telling every stop it made and turn it made. The police followed my directions of where it was going where it stopped and went to where it was and arrested the thieves. I had my car back in 3 hours from the time I called them. I even made it to church in time. I gave a testimony about it and everybody wanted to know where they could get. So needless to say, I love my Hum device and I love the Hum app.

I have had the hum for 3 years and I mostly used it for The location feature , however, I also checked it to ensure everything was working. Well my daughter in law was driving on the Hwy with my grandbaby and the car shut off on her. The hum did not notify me of any defects to the vehicles. The features do not work. It will tell you if gas tank is full/empty, how fast/slow you drive but electrical, fluids and battery life do not trust the Hum .

The Hum device reads and sends me a text message about any diagnostic code it finds that needs attention. It also makes emergency calls for me (sometimes because I hit the button by mistake). It shows me where my vehicle is parked. I’m very happy with the device…my only “wish” is that it would let me clear a code if I do the repair myself.

I knew my battery was having an issue before I was stranded. It also keeps me aware of my driving habits. I love it!!

I’ve had the HUM equipment for several years. I counted on it to notify me if something was amiss and it has let me down in a huge way: my ABS system stopped working. It shows, even now, that there are no problems. The car is in for an extremely expensive repair, $1600. Could this have been helped if I had been warned by the HUM equipment? I don’t know. But it sure would have been safer since the ABS system went out while I was driving on a highway. This pretty much is the end of my relationship with HUM. Hugely disappointed.
