These apps include the HondaLink Navigation App, the HondaLink Aha App (entertainment), the HondaLink App (vehicle information) and now the iHeartRadio App for Auto (US Only).

The apps can work either in standalone mode (for use when not driving) or when connected to Honda vehicles equipped with the HondaLink-ready technology.

NOTE: Use of HondaLink apps in the vehicle requires an HDMI cable connector, Apple lightning adapter, and Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink® connection. See hondanavi.com or handsfreelink.com for more information or to order the HondaLink iOS Cable Kit ($99).

Some services require use of GPS for location-based content. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Garbage

Total waste of data being used. Appears to never refresh area as to where my vehicle is parked. It's July 21st and the last refresh of my vehicle data on the application peruses July 11. I am assuming the best thing going on this application is scheduling maintenance (which I haven’t done yet), but I can imagine how that goes !!!!

Apple Play
POfunnel

Don’t bother with any of Hondas garbage; it’s obvious that they gave up and let Apple take over with Apple play. That thing works awesome so I don’t need Honda’s crap GPS because I get it from my phone that shows on the huge touchscreen interface. I don’t know about android; probably have something comparable by now.

What is the point if this app?
61820CRV

The information from my CR-V never updates in the app, it still shows my mileage and oil life from over a year ago. It would be nice to add remote start to the app though I’m not confident it would work. Don’t waste your time with this app.

Equip with Honda link tech?????
blockstar11435

Honda link tech. Appears to be old old technology. I mean what is this app good for. Viewing your VIN## and a picture of your car and map location. It would be cool if I can view more details. Like tire pressure maybe gas mileage. This might be a little far fetch to turn the car on from app or roll down/up windows. But it seems to be way in the distant future for Honda link.

I have a 2016 Honda Pilot and this app is really good for nothing where is the CarPlay Honda company? Need to redo this app and put car play on it otherwise the 8 inch screen on the dash board is just useless

CarPlay please.

In 2006, this app would have been amazing. In 2016, not so much.

We want Apple CarPlay?
Duckie0420

You(Honda software developers) and I both know that Apple CarPlay does work on the 2015 Honda Civic head units and saying it is both a hardware and software update to get CarPlay is just a scheme to sell 2016 Honda Civics. I will wait patiently for my software update for Apple CarPlay for my beautiful Honda Civic 2015. I've always loved Honda so please don't let me down.

Never Worked

Disappointed

I wrote two reviews but somehow they keep getting deleted. First time Honda buyer. I am not rewriting everything before. Not the software I would expect out of a 40k vehicle. Glad I leased so I can ditch in 3 yrs

1 Star is too generous

I can honestly say that this is probably the most useless app I've ever downloaded. I'd been promised that they would have plenty of third party apps available through HondaLink; I was lied to. The only third party app is aha, which I don't use. I'd been told by the dealer that Audible would be available, but nope. I'd been told that I'd be able to use the Waze navigation app; also not true. The app has a few minor hands free features, but they are all slow and the native abilities of my iPhone work better. My suggestion is, if you're planning on using this app, don't bother. Just connect your phone via Bluetooth and use it as you would normally. This app doesn't do a dang thing that it promises.
