Health for Garmin also allows you to upload the full set of health metrics back to Garmin Connect, so if you don't have a Tanita scale or have taken measurements while travelling, etc. then you can still record them without losing that data.

Features include:
* display your current weight, body fat and BMI
* display of weight, body fat and muscle mass over time
* detailed list of each weight record available that provides access to:
- Weight
- Body Fat
- Body Water
- Bone Mass
- Muscle Mass
- Physique Rating
- Visceral Fat
- Metabolic Age
- Caloric Intake

* Upload full range of health metrics to Garmin Connect
* Export all health data to CSV file
* Weight details colour-coded based on industry guidelines
* Statistics showing your first recorded value compared to the most recent
* Graph showing the all-time lowest value and highest value for selected metrics

* Synchronise data from MyTanita to Garmin Connect. If you are using a Garmin device that does not have ANT+, then the data from your scale is probably stored in MyTanita using their clients or widgets. Health for Garmin will read the metric data from MyTanita and will synchronise it with Garmin Connect, allowing you to view your health data in Garmin Connect regardless of where it originates.

* Local Storage Options. You can choose whether you want to store Tanita data locally on your device instead of Garmin data. The main reason for this is that Tanita allows multiple health records to be stored per day compared to Garmin which only allows one record per day. So if you weigh yourself more than once a day, this feature is for you.

* HealthKit integration allows you to automatically synchronise all health metrics stored in Health Pro with HealthKit - including all historical data
- Body Fat %
- Body Mass Index
- Lean Body Mass
- Weight

Unable to sync with Garmin, crashes after trying

Sync Tanita with GarminConnect!
Aca0208

No need to replace your Tanita scale, this app will sync your Tanita data with garmin connect without a weight scale enabled garmin device (i.e. 910xt, edge 810). It will allow you to use the 920 xt and your Tanita scale! Triathletes Rejoice!

Love the idea but the sync is not working

I must say that this is the answer to my watch no longer supporting the taint scale. Curses to Garmin for removing all legacy support in their new devices. However, the app does not seem to be able to push the data into Garmin Connect. I am extremely optimistic for this app doing the trick. :)

Unusefull

The actual version is not working. I have multiple data daily on my Tanita site which are not synchronized.

Crashes all the time

Sync with Tanita scale on steroids

App is so cool, really easy a great functionality with export to garmin + apple health. No other alternative for it around. Using every day to export from Tanita scale to garmin connect and Apple Health. Thanks and really appreciate the App and support. The more iOs 9nish design would be just a bonus in the future? Petr

A Truly Unique and Useful App

I have used a Tanita body composition scale (currently BC-533) for a couple of decades now and have a significant dataset stored in MyTanita which I maintain via Healthy Edge Lite on Windows. When Apple brought out HealthKit I was excited (yet daunted!) about getting my history into Apple Health and leveraged by the iOS ecosystem. Unfortunately, no first party solutions exist for this and this is the only third party solution which can bridge this particular need. Oh, and Joe is a wonderful developer who provides prompt and in depth support in such a selfless manner that it astounds me. Keep up the great work!
