Realize Your Wizarding Potential
A calamity has befallen the wizarding world, causing Foundables—magical artefacts, creatures, people, and even memories—to mysteriously appear in the Muggle world. As a new recruit of the Statute of Secrecy Task Force, you’ll work with witches and wizards from across the globe to solve the mystery of The Calamity and keep magic safe from Muggle eyes.

The Magic Is All Around You
As you step outside and explore the world, the Map will reveal Traces of magic that indicate the location of Foundables. These Traces are found at various real-world locations and trigger richly detailed 3D encounters in full 360-degree advanced AR. You’ll need to cast a variety of spells to defeat the confounding magic surrounding the Foundables in order to safely return them to the wizarding world. Keep an eye out for other things that will aid you on your journey including Inns that replenish Spell Energy, ingredients that can be used to brew potions, and even Portkeys that can whisk you away to iconic wizarding world locations.

Stronger United
Gather your friends to take on even bigger magical feats such as Wizarding Challenges, real-time cooperative multiplayer battles against dangerous foes. To overcome the stronger threats and discover rarer Foundables, you’ll need to team up and strategize with your fellow witches and wizards and specialize in different magical Professions—Auror, Magizoologist, and Professor—that each have their own unique skills and abilities that come in handy at different times.

Ready your wand, alert your friends, and be ready to protect the wizarding world from a global calamity. Your Wizarding adventure awaits!

Remove the account rule!

I don’t like that you have to make an account for this game. It’s so annoying to make a separate account and I hope you take away the signing in part. I hope to play this game without signing in and making an account and everything.

It got better, then it got so much worse
BatSupe3

When I first started playing the game after its release, it was okay, but nowhere near as good as PoGo. That gradually changed, and I got to a point where I was enjoying playing. What a fool I’ve been! This game lulled me into a false sense of security only to pull the rug out from under me! The developers have made it nearly impossible to complete tasks in brilliant events (especially the most recent one Darkness Rising) without spending 24/7 in the game with 1000s of spell energy. If you’re not spending all of your time trying to grind away at the tasks and only managing to chip it a little bit, then you’re having to spend all of your money to replenish your resources to get back to the grind. And once you’ve finally managed to complete an event, part 2 starts a few days later and your ill-prepared to handle it. The game changed, and not for the better.

Grind becoming impossible

The game was fun for quite a while but the developers have made it flat out unfun with horrible grinds in the latest events that force you to either spend money or quit. So I’m quitting.

Used to love it, might leave

I used to love this game. There just plain needs to be better balance on how hard the events have become. I’m not the best with the terminology, but needing to get 10,000 points for one of the last few events was too much. I absolutely loved this game but lately its just blah. I never missed any event and I didn’t finish the last two and probably won’t finish this one and I haven’t even tried the last few bonus rounds.

Used to be fun, now just a grind

I’ve played this game from the beginning. They have had many growing pains along the way but it was still lots of fun. Lately it seems like they have ran out of ideas and it’s just a literal grind. It’s not fun, it’s tedious and it’s very obvious they are only looking for players to dump cash into the game so they can buy lots of potions, energy and keys to take the edge off the grind.

Was great, now I’m quitting

I played this game since day one. I used to enjoy it a lot - special events were fun, you had to spend time but it was always possible to finish all of them. A while ago they decided to change that. Now events are impossible to finish even if you have plenty of spell energy. It seems like to finish an event you have to play 24/7 all 6 days. It’s just frustrating. Also, they increased the difficulty levels on everything. You earn less Wizarding XP. I don’t see why the developers decided to ruin this game. VERY disappointing. I loved the game but now I’m quitting.

You can’t afford to play this game
Warrantee

So for sure don’t get your kids started on it. They have made the “events” unattainable and for sure unaffordable for most players.

It used to be good

I live in a semi-rural area that doesn’t have movement restrictions for COVID but has a semi-decent supply of inns, foundable spawns, and ingredient spawns. I had downloaded this app as soon as it was available and played near constantly over the first summer. I had to stop over the school year due to a very busy schedule, but once school shut down this year, I played for roughly 2 hours a day about every other day for 3 months. I loved playing and it gave me motivation to get me walking and out of the house. Even once school started again, I was at home with little extracurricular activities, so I could still play in my free time. I liked the ability to have a Knight Bus that was instituted during the pandemic and contrary to what a lot of people have said, I actually liked the new SOS update. That said, their new events are awful. They are grinds that take several hours to complete without paying for bonus supplies and resources. Especially because once you complete one event, there is a new one within a few days so you never have time in between to build up your supplies. And one problem I have had before now has only been increased as I continue to level up (I am a level 37): we do not get keys nearly often enough. We get keys when we level up, which can be weeks apart, or rarely from trace drops, which can take even more time. The single golden key is not enough. I struggle to clear out my old portkeys to make room for the new ones, especially during dragon week which was my only chance to get most dragon eggs, yet I was only able to get a couple because I couldn’t clear out my old portkeys fast enough. And this event has become the most ridiculous event so far, which is saying something. I am a maxed professor and it takes me on average 5 hits for the poachers and 7 hits for the snatchers (including critical hits). That is way too much energy for only 3 family xp when you need 350 to pass the task. I did eventually get it, but I am done. Every event has been a grind for the past few weeks and Niantic has done nothing in response. I’m deleting the app now. Niantic needs to make this game more accessible to casual/new players. Make it where you can play the game and get the story without paying, but you can get bonus stuff with paying, like the golden cauldron is good. So in summary, bring the game back to how it used to be and it’ll be better, but for now I would say do not download this game

Current event is a money grab
Bubzor

The game was going in a good direction until this current event. To finish the 2nd stage (out of 4) you need to grind at least 3x longer unless you buy silver keys which lets you unlock loot boxes faster for a *chance* at the resource you need for the event. It’s possible that this was a miss on their part but I haven’t seen any communication on fixing it

Brilliant Event
Oreo_83

Been playing this game for awhile now but during COVID season, I noticed that the brilliant event tasks are getting more impossible to achieve. Requiring 350 XP for Darkness Rising on the 2nd task? That’s quite a stretch. If they want more people to play, they should try to make it at least quarantine-friendly and realistic.
