Overall good app but should be updated so you can customize individual notification sounds
SLOWEST ever!
ThisApp$&@")% not very good
So unprofessional of Google not to improve this app for the iOS iPhone ecosystem. This app is super slow, to make calls, text people or looking up contacts. Please help us! Until then, two stars for you Google Hangouts.
Some problems

There’s a bug that frequently appears for me that erases people’s profile pictures. A probably related bug makes it so that while profile pictures do not appear I cannot open any chat. The only way I’ve found to repair this is to delete and then reinstall the app. As I use this app frequently, this is a detriment. Overall, a fine app with a nice interface. The cyclops “mascot” is nice as well, though the bugs do take precedence in my opinion.

It is great for texting but I would say the calling is bad. Maybe it is because of where it is being used but I have had connections issues. My conversation seems to be disappearing when I went to go back and read it.

Hangout won’t work for my child on iphone

I’m trying to set up my child on an old iphone of mine to use the hangouts app so she can text over WiFi with her friends. Neither my child nor her friends have cell phones. My child’s friends are already using this app and I set my child up with it on our home PC. I’m very disappointed

I think hangouts is a fun way to communicate with your friends and an easy way to send pictures, emojis. I used hangouts for years now and still no problems with vary easy and fun to use.
