Amazing Game

Wannabe Russian

I LOVE games that involve strategy and tactical thinking. That being said, I wish there was an offline mode that folks could enjoy. I am in the military and in certain environments it’s just impossible to get a connection to the internet. Even if all I was doing was playing a base version of the game that never needed an it would be amazing if I could play offline even just against a computer or via Bluetooth or something for a local game. I don’t know if this would be possible to do but I love this game, the lack of pay to win, and just how overall fair all the different faction decks are. Thank you for this product it has me hooked like no game has before.

Trash

Absolute awful match making. Day 3 and I have nothing but starter decks and I’m playing people who are ranked as F&$* and playing cards I’ve never even heard of. Sure, you lose some but getting countless smurfs and people with non-starter decks in a row is lame. Don’t waste your time on this crap show.

Crashing

Rachelgraham

Couldn’t play due to crashes. Took30-60 seconds to load at each stage of the introduction then would crash. After 3 crashes—I hadn’t even been able to play yet—I called it quits.

Happy to replace Hearthstone with this gem

I’ve always absolutely loved The Witcher series; seeing this glorious game come to life on my iPad is outstanding. I’ve been playing for hours non stop and it’s still wildly entertaining

I’d give it zero if I could

haven’t made it through an entire game without it crashing...... uninstalled

Wicked fun and perfect for mobile

Cocytus

This is a surprisingly good adaptation to a mobile platform. Tons of fun

It’s fine. Good animations and always fun to see Witcher games.

Cancelled matches

Just starting out playing this game but it’s odd to have service and then get disconnects from matches which are now losses. Very frustrating

Was hoping for more

I’m giving two stars because the aesthetics are nice, game function worked well for me, and the idea was there. You can play for free but the cards aren’t that great. I noticed that some of the cards either didn’t explain very well what it does or can only enact a special ability while having corresponding cards either in your deck or on the board. But a starter deck doesn’t really have those corresponding cards. There was also some confusion with why certain abilities could not be activated (some cards have more than one special ability). Each card tells you what the ability does, but every time I tried to trigger it I could never seem to get it to work. During “training” I was doing well and winning. Which made me think, “ok I’m ready for the real thing”. But then I started playing others and kept losing. It’s like they always have something special by the last winning round. I started noticing a pattern with which round I would win and lose. Either they are pairing me as a beginner with hardcore players and hella nice cards or they’re bots. The reason I think this is that all the cards for the first round or two seem normal. I’m keeping up and doing alright. But then the last deciding round cards I’ve never seen before with all these special abilities are being played. I try to learn from the players I’m losing too, but again that last round I just can’t wrap my head around. I’ll just buy the physical form of Gwent cards off Etsy. Maybe I’ll learn more that way.

DOES NOT WORK

The app broke about 1.5 minutes into the training. Can’t click on anything and the tutorial won’t let me move without clicking.
