Need a quick translation? Greek Dictionary will instantly translate email messages, Twitter tweets, Facebook updates, and LinkedIn messages—plus you can look up any other sentence and copy and paste the translation into other apps.

And don’t worry about going offline when you travel. Greek Dictionary includes the full English/Greek dictionary and word translation database when you get disconnected from the Internet, so you can always find the word you need wherever you are. And it will still pronounce English words for you offline too, so you can say them just right.

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch is online, then you get access to Greek Dictionary’s full range of features, including automatic links to Wiktionary to help you learn new words by exploring their history.
You also get neutral pronunciations of both Greek and English words so you can master saying them correctly before you try to include them in a sentence with intonation.

And, of course, you can bookmark any definition in English or Greek so that you can quickly refer back to an essential word without having to search for it again—a great time saver.

A FUN Study Tool For Students
---------------------------------------
Students will love the study tools built into Greek Dictionary. It all starts with a basic flash card tool with Greek on one side of the virtual flashcard and English on the other.

If you need a little more help, you can switch to multiple choice mode where you choose the answer from a list of words.

Or you can guess what character is missing from a word using the fill-in-the-blank game—a learning technique that prepares you for real-life composition and translation by testing your ability to improvise in a foreign language.

And, when you get tired of the hard work, you can relax—but continue studying—by playing a few rounds of Boost Memory word analyze game.

Of course, a student’s ultimate goal is fluency, so Greek Dictionary doesn’t ignore all of your hard work learning a foreign language. Greek Dictionary rewards your progress with an Achievements tracker, and puts you on its Leaderboard to motivate you to keep learning, increase your score, and quickly attain fluency.

Reviews

Might as well just use Google translate
khwsta

The app doesn’t add features to make keeping it worthwhile. It’s essentially a middleman to Google Translate’s features.

So convenient
moscanaze

Terrific app. Use it so often and love the ease of looking up words. Highly recommend

Great, but some suggestions
Wangdamian

Great app, usually pretty trustworthy. It can be a bit frustrating when they don’t have the word I’m looking for, and I’d recommend adding the gender to nouns in there, and maybe how to conjugate some of the more popular verbs

Too many advertisements
namenonane

Too many advertisements

Paying for translator
the lunar

I hate how you have to pay for the most useful feature in the app and I find it useful and convenient . So it makes mad that I can't use it without paying . Makes me me wanna delete the app . You need the translator to pronounce word and say it right.

Not worthy
Francia J R Paulino

I thought that in the section word of the day, I would be able to see the word, listen to it’s pronunciation and get a definition and the example of use. None of that happened in this app, neither keeps a history of the words presented everyday. Lots of ads and for anything that you normally will get with other dictionaries FREE, this app ask you for money. Way not to go.

English-Greek only, not a “Bilingual” dictionary
veronicafletcher

The app works just fine, but it only provides an English-Greek dictionary. There is no Greek-English dictionary option, which is what I was hoping for.

Poor delivery
Bereanone

Many features look good, but deliver poorly. For example flash cards gets you a blank screen yet never “flashes” anything. Just one example of poor execution.

It’s ok
C dogg M

I like it and learned so much but I can speak but it took me 4 years to learn Greek because of the ads

It worked for a while.....
MJS13v2

Then every time I opened the app, I got flooded with pop up adds for unrelated things. Deleted it.
