Disappointed

Gauntletwielder

I needed an iPad app to create AWS diagrams. This app does that. I am used to the vector drawing app Inkpad. Been using it for years. Why am I disappointed? I downloaded this app 10 minutes ago and began using it. It that short time, I discovered two counterproductive limitations: 1 - An object can be moved to the very back or very front. There is no incremental movement of an object forward or backward. Inkpad has this incremental movement. 2 - At least in the AWS library, the shape names are TRUNCATED in the shape browser. AWS shapes can be cryptic as it is, but truncating the names is the opposite of helpful. Being able to move an object forwards and backwards AND actually being able to see the entire name of a shape... are reasonable expectations. I also did not care for choosing colors by pressing a dot. I am an RGB person... give me the option for RGB and Alpha sliders any day. So I just spent $9.99 on an app that makes my work unnecessarily difficult, NOT more efficient and productive. I will revert back to Inkpad until the two main issues above are resolved.

TERRIBLE

YEAH, IT JUST DIDN'T WORK. MAKING A CHART/GRAPH WAS MORE TROUBLE THAN IT'S WORTH

Good Value for the Money

A bit annoying to use on a small phone screen, but that's hardly the fault of the app!

Works Great for My Purposes

Tetsubean

This is exactly what I needed to build campaign flow charts. It's easy to use and works great on my iPad Pro. Thanks!

7y around, still missing the basics. No hope

Missing App Features -> Precise sizing -> Auto layout of diagram -> Visio or other format Exports so you can share your work with people who don’t have the App or no iPad. -> Shape controls: resizing a rounded rectangle will screw the shape as you have not control over anything. So basically the "vector drawings" are useless as you don't get the benefits of it: being able to control the shapes. -> Grid or pixel snapping when you resize objects. Getting multiple objects of the same size is a nightmare right now if you need to modify their size. Missing Export Options -> Transparent background -> Trimming transparent pixels to only export the content and not the whole canvas Despite the promises of the developers in the comment, still waiting for basic shape support. Right now you resize a shape, your diagram is done. It will be deformed and you have no control on rounded corners or anything.

Great for basic diagramming

A nice “poor man’s” Visio for the iPad. Works great for me!

Nice idea. Worst shape recognition EVER. -_-

The title says it all. Bye, Phylicia.

Sorely missing iPencil support

Sojum71

Please integrate iPencil and allow me to rest my hand on screen while using the pencil. As is the app has a lot of promise but just isn’t practical for on the fly charting as it requires unnatural hand dexterity that would not be an issue with real pen and paper. I get better support charting in GoodNotes in this way, but really want to get more use out of my investment here instead.

Awesome

Justinwiz1

This app is lightyears ahead of the other options available right now on the App Store. Performant, intuitive, and I haven’t encountered any bugs so far. Keep it up guys. :)

Totally awesome exactly what I needed
