Freezes ?

After all these “fixes” the Google app is now worse. After using it for a while it’ll freeze or go to a white screen. Both require the app to be forced closed which looses my place. I even deleted and reinstalled but it didn’t fix it. Please change it back!

I used to like the app a lot. This update ruined it. What were you guys thinking? Now it's a pain to use. Really irritating. Please return to the old version. I do not want a screen full of "news". Especially Fox News. I've never used Google to look at anything even remotely sports-related, so why all the sports junk? Also, I WILL NOT turn on notifications. Quit. Asking. Me. The most recent items in my search history are now not only visually unappealing, but also inconvenient to erase. I just want to look things up (what happened to the time-saving suggestions as I type?), easily erase certain items from my history, and quickly reference my un-erased history.... All. On. One. Page. One year later: Another crappy update. Now it's even MORE difficult to delete or view my search history. Not only do I have to wait for it to load, but what shows up is not what I typed in the search bar, but each and every thing I clicked on instead. Not helpful in the least. Who comes up with this stuff?? Just bring back swipe to delete. Pleeeeeease. And just because I look up a recipe doesn't mean I want to see a bunch of recipes every time I open the app. At least there should be better options to fine-tune the articles on the screen. For instance, a recipe suggested for me might be from The New York Times and my choices may be to hide it, choose not to have stories from that publication in the future, or select my personal favorite: "Not interested in flavor". Unsatisfactory at best.

Always been one of my most used apps. Keep it on the iPhone dock I use it so much. But for whatever reason the last two updates have rendered this app useless. I use an iPhone 8 and the voice search function causes the app to freeze and become unresponsive. Try scrolling through the feed? That’s causes the freeze, too. What the heck? Uninstalled and reinstalled but made no difference. I just want to be able to Google things again!
Google serves my purpose wonderfully! I am grateful, thanks for being there

What a great app! I use it every single day for news feed, searching stuff and much more. It’s stable, performance and user friendly. Love Google products and love this app as well.
