Simple, clean, and intuitive UI. Desperately needs reader mode, the ability to tap-and-hold links for a preview, and support for at least a few extensions (eg, Dark Reader). It also fails to present the flash screen for Face ID password authentication. The experience is cumbersome and second-rate on iOS and, unfortunately, there haven't been many improvements over time.
New chrome stops working on iPhone 13
Reenable autorefresh
Randomly the browser will stop working on iPhone. Can’t search or open new website. Have to restart phone. Sometimes it works for weeks, other times for a few minutes.

The last few updates have made it progressively worse. I don’t expect terribly much when it comes to a mobile app, but I realize the start-up page in the last update no longer allowed you to just tap to open YouTube links. It decided to force you to long-tap and open in a new tab to get it to work. Now, the most recent version appears to have removed long-tap without fixing the old issue. See where I’m going with this? They need to re-evaluate the team that is working on the mobile version. I already use Brave browser on the pc, and have no issue swapping back to it on mobile.
Chromes’ Google Lens is a greedy money grab.

Google has decided to replace “Search on Google Images,” with “Search on Google Lens.” The features it offers as a replacement are a total joke.. Google Lens is just a scheme to make Google Money by opening up links to buy things. It’s basically an advertising tool to generate money, not something that is actually useful to users. It’s just a greedy Google money grab. You all keep making Chrome less and less functional with unethical decisions like this. Google lens is garbage and removing Image searches with this pathetic replacement is a slap in the face to Google’s users.

Ever since the last few updates went through, I can no longer send gifs through the keyboard. That plus a few other basic functional issues make this a bit frustrating to just use and difficult to see added benefits in using.

Slow, no group tabs, top bar of tabs start all the way to the left even if I select a new tab.

I have removed all Google apps since Ethel have not updated them going on 3 months. I suspect this is due to Apples new privacy policies. Since the apps have not been update, it’s concerning what patches are not being applied.
