Great Motivation

Zandra19

The beautiful trees, levels of foliage, and daily forest are great motivation to stay away from your phone.

Best app I’ve ever purchased so far.

I typically don’t do reviews unless I really enjoy the app. (This is my second review) and I just wanted to let others know if you have trouble with staying focused, or wanting to have more down time away from your smart device this is the best app for you. The gist of it is, you plant a tree, earn coins, buy things via the coins repeat. You can save enough coins (or purchase in store) to actually plant real life trees to help grow more! (Which is literally why I bought the app). It helps with school, work, even breaks if I just want to listen to calming music. They have a sleep app as well that I want to purchase!! Totally worth it y’all.

Great app for procrastinators

I love this app. Once you set a timer and plant your tree, if you leave the app to browse your phone, then your tree will die. This simple concept has kept me off my phone for up to +4 hours, keeping me working and not letting my phone distract me. I highly recommend Forest to anyone who needs a little help focusing.

Great app

Dany.....

This app is awesome. It helps me focus and I get a lot done

Less tech more trees, please!

I love this. It helps me stay accountable to myself because it turned staying off of my phone into a fun game. If I leave my phone alone enough then I can plant a real tree. SO AWESOME! Love this. 10/10

I’m an actual person who is actually writing this but this app has helped save my relationship. I have been able to get away from my phone and actually spend time talking and listening to those who are important to me. It seems like a silly concept but it has powerful effect in your life.

Amazing. 100% worth the money if you have enough motivation and self control to use the app but need extra help staying off your phone. Its enticing to watch your plants develop and your forest grow. It’s encouraging to see how productive you are. And it’s enlightening to see how many times you want to pick up your phone during a 15- or 30- minute period and experience the exceptional feeling of telling yourself no. I can’t even imagine how unproductive I was before this app. Hands-down one of the best few dollars I’ve ever spent.

Put Down the Darned iPad!!

KathyPW

I am an adult woman with ADHD. I am addicted to iPad games, Facebook games, you name it! I also have responsibilities. “Forest” helps with the latter. Once I plant my trees, I am far less likely to pick up the iPad until the requisite time has passed. Yes, I know they’re not real trees, but still, it works. I do not use the app in a competitive fashion, but to help me put down the iPad and get on with my life. Once I plant my tree, I often don’t pick up the iPad until well after the tree has grown, but the mere action of planting a cartoon tree in a cartoon forest helps me to put down the darned iPad! I highly recommend this app!

Best app ever!

THE stay on task app

AndreaPhooenix

I actually heard about this app, when one of my university friends did her ‘Study Hints and Tools’ presentation solely on this app and the idea behind it. I was first skeptical of the Pomodoro Technique, not believing that the timing of studying or working could greatly affect your productivity; I was wrong. I have been using this app for almost two years now and it has gotten me through my final semester in college, where I was writing a 60+ page thesis, taking 5 classes (15 credits), teaching 20 hours a week at a local public school and doing 20+ hours of work study on campus. The concept helps your brain focus by working for 25 minutes (you can also set the time length that works best for you I like 45/15) and then take a 5 minutes break or 25/5. It literally teaches your brain to focus for the amount of time you set, and then during your break you can respond to that text, call your mom bs k, walk around, get a drink of water, etc.. I now work for a demanding job in a community based space with loads of distractions and am still using this app to stay focused and get work done. I can’t recommend this app enough for folks who have a hard time getting refocused or staying focused on work or who sometimes just needs that little bit of positive reinforcement to get them through a daunting task.
