Kinda pretty.

Looks very nice but the fish are a little too small to see well and swim a little too jerky to be satisfying in an app that's only function is swimming fishies. Nice tho but needs update.

primitive

I disagree with the other reviewer who said that Fishies is nicer than Koi Pond. Koi Pond is an exquisitely designed and BEAUTIFUL app -- a very impressive piece of work graphically, sonically & aesthetically. Fishies is clearly FAR more primitive in ALL those respects, and while certainly interesting, it's nowhere NEAR in the same realm. (So much so that it wouldn't surprise me much to find that the other Fishies review in question was penned by a shill.) So if you don't own Koi Pond and like that sort of thing, you owe it to yourself to get it. I have no axe to grind against Fishies, but it's a second-rate effort in comparison, for sure. [Disclosure: I have NO affiliation whatsoever with either software; I'm just an iPhone aficianado.]

Calm and Soothing Feeling!

I like the way bubbles coming up from the bottom of the ocean with all the fish swimming freely around the coral reef. I can also play with the fish however I like, guiding them on any directions or sending them away. I like the calm and soothing feeling by just watching them.

Love to play it!

It's fun to play with Fishies or simply watch them swimming by. Enjoy the ocean sound when shaking iPhone. Bubbling sound brewing in coral reef also does wonder to my ears.

fishies app is much cooler than koi pond

i've got to be honest, i was bored with koi pond after about half an hour. sure, the app is pretty, but it was so ... predictable. 'fishies' kept me entertained for hours on end (plane trip from lga to miami), and had me all revved up for my scuba training after seeing all the pretty fishies on the app. i particularly liked that there were fishes coming from all different angles, and to see how they moved as you touched different areas on the screen and led them around was much more interesting than seeing just one fish run away. i didn't think it was jerky at all. i made the fishies go around in perfect tight circles (a personal favorite past time of this game for me). hands down, the fishies app kicks koi pond, out of the water.
