Children learn to recognise ‘action’ words as they play with this app, which is one of a new Kizzu series by Sherston Early Years.

As part of the UK curriculum, action words are taught to young children by introducing the concept of verbs in a simple and familiar way. Our First Words app helps children learn and recognise up to 48 new action words while playing a fun new game.

How it works
Through 24 adorable animations, children interact with various characters by tapping or swiping the screen.

Each time the child interacts with the app, the character will perform a fun action. This encourages little ones to learn new action words while they play.

Children are introduced to the sounds of the words through a clear voiceover, which is available in both British and American English. This can be repeated as many times as the child likes, so it won't be long before they are recognising and repeating the words themselves.
