If you misplace your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac, the Find My iPhone app will let you use any iOS device to find it and protect your data. Simply install this free app, open it, and sign in with the Apple ID you use for iCloud. Find My iPhone will help you locate your missing device on a map, remotely lock it, play a sound, display a message, or erase all the data on it.
For missing iOS devices, Find My iPhone also includes Lost Mode. Lost Mode locks your device with a passcode and can display a custom message and contact phone number right on the Lock Screen. While in Lost Mode, your device can keep track of where it has been and report back so you can view its recent location history, right from the Find My iPhone app.
Please note that Find My iPhone must be enabled in iCloud settings on your device before you can locate it with this app.

Will not update no matter what I do. Would give zero stars if I could and can't even delete the stupid app.
What happened?

I've used this app successfully for years, but ever since September 23, 2020 it no longer works. It will not update on my iPhone or iPad. It shows my location, but that's it. I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling and hard reset. Nothing seems to work.

This app won't even update and I can't even delete it. Now I have showing 1 update on my IPad and can't remove it. Grrrr ? disgusted along with the other reviews. Won't let me delete this app stinks

Like others, I cannot update this app. Most likely because I don't have (Find my iPhone) as an app but as part of my operating system iOS 9.3.5. Please remove the notice that there is an update for this app.

This app is apparently not designed to work on older iPhones, iPods, or iPads yet it gets installed with OS updates and then has pending updates to the app which cannot be updated or deleted leaving users having continuous update reminders for an app that cannot be resolved. This problem has been reported by a huge number of users yet Apple ignores this problem. It is a slap in the face for loyal Apple users to have to deal with an oversight like this and have it ignored by Apple.
