My Goto Reeder, but

Plandersalz

Doesn’t rotate into landscape mode in my iPhone X (but still does on my iPad) for the past several days. So what would normally be a 5 Star app gets 3 because the messes with readability for several of my feeds. If this is a bug, I’ll update when it’s fixed. If it’s not, I may have to look elsewhere.

Tired getting “All read” screen at the open.

Giving up on Feedly... I am so tired of several irritating UI details and lack of options to make it behave as I’d like. So I am now searching for a better app... Whenever I open the app, and I mean ALWAYS, I am greeted with the “All read” screen with no easy options to move on, other than opening the menu at top left (hard to reach + requires multiple actions). This is systematic... I open Feedly and I know I will not see new content right away but I will be forced to fiddle with the menu, even when I did not open the app for a long time and there is obviously new content available. And I get this even though I clearly have not previously read everything, I had mostly scrolled through headlines or summaries. At that point, Swipe up is useless as I then get the “All done” full screen which to me means exactly the same thing, so I am needlessly doing an action to be told again that I have supposedly read everything. At least I would expect to be able to swipe down to get back to today’s articles or something, not be forced to precisely hit the menu button which I find hard to do. I just don’t understand the logic behind getting this screen and I can’t stand seeing it any more! Another thing that irritates me is the forced pagination instead of continuous scrolling, no user option for this. I constantly have to swipe back down to go back to previous screen when all I wanted when I swiped up was to bring what was at the bottom of the screen nearer the center where I prefer to read. Give us the option of continuous scrolling, I generally hate modal behaviors like pagination! And at the end of the list, I even want some blank space so I could bring the last line up the screen if I wanted to because this is where I prefer to read. If only scrolling could be continuous + end with a simple (and non-modal) line saying “all read” or “End of list” that would solve my two main gripes.

Nice but flawed a bit

buenor1

It a a nice reader. I like it but it does hang/gets stuck on black screen fairly often ever since the latest version it seems. You’d have to force quit the app a few times and then sometimes it starts to function correctly. Then again, sometimes it doesn’t and a reinstall is necessary. So it’s nice but a bit of a hassle recently.

Dec 7 update does not work on iOS 9 iPad and screen does not rotate on iOS 10 iPhone

BosReg

It is badly broken on iOS 9 iPad but works fine on iOS 10 iPhone. I hope you can fix this soon. Thanks. Edit: I was wrong. It works on iOS 10 iPhone but the display does not rotate when the screen is rotated. Edit: the iOS 9 problem was fixed the next day but not the iOS 10 display rotation problem.

The best RSS consumer app. Period.

Ditmark

Thank you very much, I love the cards style.

Really like it

Tech44

I really like this app. Please add setting to open articles in reader view by default.

No good on iPhone X

jmstacey

iPhone X optimization means no rotation into landscape mode. Stupid. Not even in the integrated browser. Even more unfriendly. Want to read a wide comic strip? Sorry, can’t do that. Want to watch an video or gif without full screen? Sorry, only one panel at a time in portrait orientation.

SMS share is broken?

moleson_acm

The ability to share articles via SMS share function only adds article headline to Messages app. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

Nice

CalifDude

This app seems to have lots of potential. There’s lots of ways to customize the content.

No landscape viewing

jonnydesigner

3 stars now that they’ve added iPhone X support, but in doing so they’ve removed landscape viewing. For me, this wouldn’t be an issue except that I can’t get videos to turn... have to open in safari so I can watch.
