Widget and app don’t work properly

So far I’m not impressed with this app. I got it specifically so that I could have a large widget on my home screen with the news. However when I click into a News item it loads the app and all I see is the list, it doesn’t go directly to the article. I have to go back to the home screen and click the article again for it to then load. So this takes a total of two times clicking on the article for it to actually open in the app, quite clearly a bug with a widget.

This mess destabilizes my iPad pro, even if it's the only app running. When I make heavy use of it, I need a restart at least weekly. Feedly isn’t just bloated, it's Jaba the Hut. Basically, all it does is scrolls a list, yet it's harder on the system than things like Adobe Lightroom or Atlas of Human Anatomy (a complex 3D model viewer with virtual reality capabilities). It shouldn’t even be in the app store in its current condition, let alone be earning 4.7 stars.

Missing Articles/Stories?

It could be that I need to look into my settings, but one source in particular seems to be missing stories. Nothing yesterday? I’ve refreshed the page and everything

I love this app it is one of the few I use daily. My only complaint is the splash/loading screen is white so when I load the app at night it blinds my for 1 second period. Don’t know if this iOS issue or app issue but is a headache nonetheless. Either way thanks for continuing to provide such a great tool!

Frequently hangs

The app constantly hangs now, requiring a hard restart. This could be to do with content refreshes, but I only say that because of the other issue - it requires an active internet connection. Imagine my surprise when I tried to read the hundreds of post I had lined up while on the plane. Is it poor execution or jus constant tracking, who knows ?‍♀️ Just looking for something better, or I’d have been gone a while ago. I’m willing to work with the other issues it has, but not those two big ones.

Nov 2021 - tried this app again. You cannot even use this app without setting up an account with them! But Apple says they “collect no data” from you!?!?

Working perfectly. all of a sudden it just completely stopped displaying my sources. Some show as long as 11 days. No support contacts under “app support” or any way to contact them. Was able to get an email address from other users’ reviews. contacted support but to radio silence. Definitely disappointing

So here I am still using this trash that constantly throws stories I have marked as read into me feed. It’s pretty bad when a lot of the stuff I follow is similar so these different outlets publish almost identical stories then I get Feedly into the mix. So I keep seeing the same stories over and over and over. Just today I mark a story read later hit the bottom of the app mark all as read and an hour later the exact same story and it’s even marked as read later is in my feed. Why are you so bad? I wanted to update and add I’m confused with the white screen and what I mean is when you click on a story then click on the title to be taken to the actual article you get this extremely bright white screen for a few seconds before you get taken to the story. My issue is what’s the point of having a dark mode or nite mode whatever it’s called but then blind your readers. I read Feedly a lot of the time in the dark as I have heavy blinds so it’s very dark in my room and it’s gotten to the point I click on a story and then hurry and turn my phone and wait a few seconds then turn it back to read the story. It happens to all the articles I read even ones that when they come up are in their own dark mode. I don’t know why my reviews keep getting deleted. Not sure if it’s a system thing when an update to the app comes out or what. I have used Feedly for what feels like maybe 10 years. I used to enjoy this app and have no issues but I actually hate using the app. I don’t know why but I constantly keep seeing the same news stories over and over and over. Some of them it seems to be the people I follow as they will post a story then post it again with a word or two changed in the title of the article. Others I know are the app. Just today I saved a story and then hit the button at the bottom mark all as read and they all disappeared but later that same day there is that story again with the read later tag I marked it so I can read it again. I have tried opening every article to mark it read, hitting the button at the bottom and something else that I can’t quite recall that also didn’t work. My main issue with this is a lot of let’s say the video game articles I read post the same stories so all day I see the same stories they post and then the app recycling what I have marked as read so it gets to the point I’m tired of seeing something and don’t care to read the article. Another small thing that is kinda annoying is I’ll hit the button at the bottom and all the stories will go away to be replaced by 2 and I hit the button at the bottom again and I get 2 more and do it again and get 2 more. These are older stories so not sure it’s just the app not grabbing them all or how it works exactly. The last thing I’ll say is I have tried to go find better apps but I have used Feedly so long and on a daily basis that it’s so hard to find something that works as good as I’m used to. After today I think I’m gonna force myself off it as it’s just really annoying and defeats the purpose of it being an app to read stories when I don’t want to read the stories as I keep seeing them over and over. Another thing I wanted to add and forgot is Feedly half the time doesn’t want to work when I’m on my WiFi. I turn it off and the story or what I’m looking at will load right up. I know it’s not an issue with my WiFi as I will exit Feedly and test other apps and they all load fine on my WiFi.

The app used to be so good and performant. Now, transitioning between posts creates some weird bugs that block the app and require a restart.
